I’m a beginner for 3 yr started in pandemic I’m barely getting into all that bring up and down and emotions been through so much…
I love this ❤ I've been struggling to create art for over a year and i know its anxiety about making things perfect or things other people will like. I love your advice and your voice is so soothing, like a supportive dad lol ❤️

My parents passed away within 6 months of each other so I'm having a difficult time getting motivated. I just remember how they both encouraged me to do artwork so I'm slowly trying to get myself to do something,even if it's a simple Zentangle. Draw With Me definitely helps as well & gets me out my" Drawing Flowers Comfort Zone"

I started a sketchbook last year and last week I started doing drawing exercises in it. I felt bad because I wasn’t putting my max effort into it and then I realised that there are no rules and I can draw whatever I want in my sketchbook. Keep it up people 💪🏼
You can do it! Don't waste time feeling bad. Just make more stuff.

After 40 years in the corporate world I’m now getting back into creating art. I quickly realized I had to re- learn how to hold and use a pen/ pencil / brush after years of keyboard work. Lol. I’m still getting my motor control down 😂. Danny thank you for your inspiring messages. I have to say your narrative voice is wonderful and I enjoy ‘hearing’ you deliver your essays. Just what I needed to hear today, thank you. I was doing really well with my drawing and happy with my progress, then today what I made was terrible and I was deflated. Your pep talk motivated me again to keep going and pick up my own!

Thank you for sharing this. New subscriber. New journey towards wanting to be an artists. I keep getting set back from using my pencil to literally draw something because I see where everyone is with their painting "success". Soo I am buying art books, and trying it all to see which painting or sketching I'm interested in. This really helped me. Thank you and I will work with stop self flagellation!!
