How gracious and precise is your analysis about using effects on the production of music... People use things like compression and filters since the beginning of the recorded music, and more recently (I mean the 70s, 80s or so) they also use dinamic effects on live presentations, but people still so shocked and upset if you "accuse" their favorite artist of using voice effects...
You're so right ! I hate when people feel offended because they confuse voice effect with auto-tune (which in most people's head means that the person can't not really sing) ! They use voice effects just like many other artists to bring another color etc to their voices and it is fine :)
People even get upset if you point out they’re using a backtrack for backup vocals, I mean they ARE singing the main part so I don’t see the problem. I’m their fan, I love them... but that’s just reality lmao

Seokjin is the epitome of hard works pays off big time. Jin was not the best dancer when he started but with hard work, he can dance side by side with the dance line, he was not a singer but with hard work, he is now here giving us the most stable voice amongst all of them. I love all 7, but Seokjin here is the man. 💜😘

Actually jin talent is already very good compare to other kpop it's just happen that all bangtan boys are very expert on their own talent. I dont know how to say it but I'm very proud of jin ❤️😍.

Finally someone breaking down their actual vocal performance. I feel like a lot of vocal coaches really just reacted saying that they’re cute and everything, and it’s true but this is much more professional and interesting. I appreciate this a lot more!
Jin rarely uses head voice when he sings the high notes and it makes every song he sings more complicated, as if the songs are impossible to be sung by others. Yeah, singing those high notes with chest voice is a lot. Jimin in another hand, mixes head voice and chest voice, and it makes the songs look easy to be sung but they are not. His voice also almost sounds gender neutral if it even makes sense. Jungkook however has the most stable voice. Beside he can sing while dancing fiercely, he also likes to experiment with the melody of ad libs. And lastly Taehyung, he has the widest vocal range in bts (vocal line/singer). His low and high notes are insane! They are so admirable. Even the rapper line have very distinct voice and style too
but he doesnt sound good forcing those high notes. It sounds like a huge effort and produces a broken sound. Honestly, the others sounded better but whatever.

This is what so many fans (and many other vocal coaches) overlook about Jin's singing, and I'm SO glad you caught it and mentioned it, Sam. As a singer myself, I know firsthand how extremely difficult it is to go sky-high in my full chest voice. I have to use my mix at _least._ And Jin does go into his mix at times, but the heights he can reach with pure chest voice are absolutely ridiculous. Each of the four vocalists in the group have things that are special about them, and this is one of Jin's; no one else in BTS has this particular skill. Jin has a truly beautiful head voice/falsetto, but he rarely uses it on group tracks; he also does a lovely whispery flip. Members of the Grammy panel have said he has a "silver voice," which I could not agree with more; its timbre is one of the brightest I've ever heard. He's also a steady singer, so with that and the clear, bright timbre combined, it gives a clarion feeling. With further training, the sky is the limit for him. He never had a thought in his head about being a singer before he was scouted off the street... Imagine that well of untapped natural talent just lying dormant for an entire lifetime.

I knew of BTS but didn’t really listen to them. I started listening to them during quarantine and oh my goodness. They are amazing. I too, am loving Jimin. I am now a BTS fan :)

Yes right?! I like all their voices in different ways, because well, they're different, and some songs I like one more than the other, then switch to another, then another, and so forth. It's just what the feeling of the song needs with the voice. With Jimin- he hits you in the heart, V- the soul, Jin- packs a punch to the stomach and JK - he sometimes just catches the breath from your throat. The rappers, man, I need some Suga when I'm feeling in a particular nasty mood, RM when I need to be introspective, and J-hope when I just wanna dance. Hmmm by this you can tell I don't do things technical but emotionally. So when I see technical arguments by those uneducated I think "Who cares? How do they make you feel?" Though I do love listening to vocal coaches praise these beautiful men, and they have qualifications to back them up. And holy crap I just re-read my post and I'm such a Hufflepuff and now I have no idea why I'm going to post this.......
Jimin definitely has the best technique when it comes to singing in BTS but when we consider the other aspects in singing like breath control, stability, falsetto etc. Jungkook shines in those. Both of them are very main vocal material and I respect them for that :))

Yeah Dynamite the original song has tuning for the affect and to smooth the accents for the guys whose accent is heavier. The tuning is gone for the other songs Save Me and Spring Day.

@@beyondtheradio Have you heard or seen BTS other than this performance or the Dynamite MV? Because if you had you would know they don't tune very much if at all. We've heard them live where they go off pitch, have voice crack etc. Dynamite was purposefully tuned the way it was for the two reasons. The song is meant to span several decades so it uses some effects from those decades in it. Also some believe, myself included, that after talking to other producers that the tuning is harsher on V and a bit on Jin is because they have a more pronounced accent. The Western radio DJs have already told fans and others that Korean makes listeners shy away from these groups. So it makes perfect but sad sense that for a song created to be more globally friendly that they soften more noticeable accents. If you knew ANYTHING about their label, they have put out movies showing their imperfections on the big screen. This group and their label favor realism, showing their imperfections so that you see them as people like you and me. So please, learn about the group you are discussing before making snap judgements on what you BELIEVE based on the West.

And I'm guessing you call yourself ARMY so you know that the guys KNEW about the tuning and that it wasn't an evil plot by BH. So awesome to hear you compliment their "vowl" sounds especially when they're not native English-speaking performers. All I know is that their work ethic speaks volumes in all of their performances.
On top of their amazing vocals, what's also insanely impressive is that only RM speaks English, so not only did they have to practice like crazy to nail the vocals, but they also had to nail the English pronunciation. That's so hard to do for anyone talking in a language they don't speak, let alone singing!!
I love Jin...he is my bias wreaked. I believe with The album BE they were expecting Jin to to be in the military if it was toured. So they may have given him less lines because they didn’t expect him to be there for that tour. Since BE came out the Korean Military Leaders gave an extension of 2 years. Perhaps and hopefully, on their next album they will give him more lines.

It always makes me happy to see actual vocal coaches praise Jimin's voice and SKILLS again and again. Toxic solo stans that hate Jimin keeps on pushing the "Jimin's voice is badly damaged", "Jimin's voice cracks often" or other narratives that are proved wrong time and again. Jimin does use high level vocal techniques and several that the other guys can't. When Jin's voice cracked at a concert the focus was JK laughing at it, but when the same happened to Jimin it defines his vocal skills? People just love to hate Jimin.

Lately many haters and even "ARMYs" hate Jimin so much, especially when vocal coaches love his voice. With this absurd behavior, they only show their envy.
OMG JIN WOULD BE SO HAPPY TO HEAR THAT HE IS YOUR FAVE! From what I gathered from watching interviews and behind the scenes stuff is that he is self conscious of his vocal abilities and his dancing abilities. Doesn’t feel as “talented” as the others members sometimes, especially when JK is a god at everything.
I'm glad you like Taehyung, its amazing how his voice is the only low deep voice in the vocal line, but he managed to hit those high notes his range is really wide

They never do lol... he’s not underrated in any way. He shines in many songs and his vocals are pretty spoken highly of. All of the vocal like is appreciated in their own way. In fact this album especially so many people have commented on his silver voice. Especially after their VMA performance.

Finally someone breaking down their actual vocal performance. I feel like a lot of vocal coaches really just reacted saying that they’re cute and everything, and it’s true but this is much more professional and interesting. I appreciate this a lot more!
HELP WHY DID JIMIN APPEAR IN HIS OTHER MONITOR THAT WAS SO CUTE 😭
Jin rarely uses head voice when he sings the high notes and it makes every song he sings more complicated, as if the songs are impossible to be sung by others. Yeah, singing those high notes with chest voice is a lot. Jimin in another hand, mixes head voice and chest voice, and it makes the songs look easy to be sung but they are not. His voice also almost sounds gender neutral if it even makes sense. Jungkook however has the most stable voice. Beside he can sing while dancing fiercely, he also likes to experiment with the melody of ad libs. And lastly Taehyung, he has the widest vocal range in bts (vocal line/singer). His low and high notes are insane!
They are so admirable. Even the rapper line have very distinct voice and style too
Everyone of them has very unique vocal colors, and it was the best technique to have a beautiful harmonisation
but he doesnt sound good forcing those high notes. It sounds like a huge effort and produces a broken sound. Honestly, the others sounded better but whatever.

This is what so many fans (and many other vocal coaches) overlook about Jin's singing, and I'm SO glad you caught it and mentioned it, Sam. As a singer myself, I know firsthand how extremely difficult it is to go sky-high in my full chest voice. I have to use my mix at _least._ And Jin does go into his mix at times, but the heights he can reach with pure chest voice are absolutely ridiculous. Each of the four vocalists in the group have things that are special about them, and this is one of Jin's; no one else in BTS has this particular skill.
Jin has a truly beautiful head voice/falsetto, but he rarely uses it on group tracks; he also does a lovely whispery flip. Members of the Grammy panel have said he has a "silver voice," which I could not agree with more; its timbre is one of the brightest I've ever heard. He's also a steady singer, so with that and the clear, bright timbre combined, it gives a clarion feeling. With further training, the sky is the limit for him.
He never had a thought in his head about being a singer before he was scouted off the street... Imagine that well of untapped natural talent just lying dormant for an entire lifetime.

I like all their voices in different ways, because well, they're different, and some songs I like one more than the other, then switch to another, then another, and so forth. It's just what the feeling of the song needs with the voice. With Jimin- he hits you in the heart, V- the soul, Jin- packs a punch to the stomach and JK - he sometimes just catches the breath from your throat. The rappers, man, I need some Suga when I'm feeling in a particular nasty mood, RM when I need to be introspective, and J-hope when I just wanna dance. Hmmm by this you can tell I don't do things technical but emotionally. So when I see technical arguments by those uneducated I think "Who cares? How do they make you feel?"
Though I do love listening to vocal coaches praise these beautiful men, and they have qualifications to back them up.

Jimin definitely has the best technique when it comes to singing in BTS but when we consider the other aspects in singing like breath control, stability, falsetto etc. Jungkook shines in those. Both of them are very main vocal material and I respect them for that :))

Yeah Dynamite the original song has tuning for the affect and to smooth the accents for the guys whose accent is heavier. The tuning is gone for the other songs Save Me and Spring Day.

@@beyondtheradio Have you heard or seen BTS other than this performance or the Dynamite MV? Because if you had you would know they don't tune very much if at all. We've heard them live where they go off pitch, have voice crack etc. Dynamite was purposefully tuned the way it was for the two reasons. The song is meant to span several decades so it uses some effects from those decades in it. Also some believe, myself included, that after talking to other producers that the tuning is harsher on V and a bit on Jin is because they have a more pronounced accent. The Western radio DJs have already told fans and others that Korean makes listeners shy away from these groups. So it makes perfect but sad sense that for a song created to be more globally friendly that they soften more noticeable accents. If you knew ANYTHING about their label, they have put out movies showing their imperfections on the big screen. This group and their label favor realism, showing their imperfections so that you see them as people like you and me. So please, learn about the group you are discussing before making snap judgements on what you BELIEVE based on the West.

On top of their amazing vocals, what's also insanely impressive is that only RM speaks English, so not only did they have to practice like crazy to nail the vocals, but they also had to nail the English pronunciation. That's so hard to do for anyone talking in a language they don't speak, let alone singing!!
Vocals also depends on pronounciation, if BTS members becomes fluent in few years, they will automatically can sing better than this performance
I love Jin...he is my bias wreaked. I believe with The album BE they were expecting Jin to to be in the military if it was toured. So they may have given him less lines because they didn’t expect him to be there for that tour. Since BE came out the Korean Military Leaders gave an extension of 2 years. Perhaps and hopefully, on their next album they will give him more lines.

It always makes me happy to see actual vocal coaches praise Jimin's voice and SKILLS again and again. Toxic solo stans that hate Jimin keeps on pushing the "Jimin's voice is badly damaged", "Jimin's voice cracks often" or other narratives that are proved wrong time and again. Jimin does use high level vocal techniques and several that the other guys can't. When Jin's voice cracked at a concert the focus was JK laughing at it, but when the same happened to Jimin it defines his vocal skills? People just love to hate Jimin.

From what I gathered from watching interviews and behind the scenes stuff is that he is self conscious of his vocal abilities and his dancing abilities. Doesn’t feel as “talented” as the others members sometimes, especially when JK is a god at everything.
