  • The metro system in Milan - which is better?
    View it here: • Metro a Milano: The Me...
    -
    The network opened in 1955, making it the oldest in the country. The Metro comprises three lines - Line A (orange), Line B (blue) and Line C (green) - which operate on 60.0 kilometres (37.3 mi) of route, serving 73 stations. The original lines in the system, Lines A and B, form an X shape with the lines intersecting at Termini Station, the main train station in Rome. Line B splits at the Bologna station into two branches. While Line C opened in 2014, it is not yet connected to the rest of the Metro network.

    • @osasunaitor
      @osasunaitor Před 4 lety +2

      This happens because in Southern European countries like Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal, etc. crime is not prosecuted and graffiti vandals are allowed to do what they want. It's a symptom of poor and failed states, where criminals have free reign. Graffiti is just the visible part of this crime scene. So no, it's not part of the train. It's part of a big social problem of these countries.

    Rome's subway is great even if it has some graffiti. It's still perfectly clean and modern in comparison to Milan's subway, which is the worst in Europe (and the most dangerous).
    We are proud of Rome's network - a network that's growing through the future transformation of the *San Paolo - Cristoforo Colombo Line* into the *Metro E* and the *Flaminio - Montebello Line* into the *Metro F.*
    With *Lines A, B, B1, C, E, F,* Rome will have a network of over *130 km.*

      I agree. Rome's subway is much better than Milan's nowadays (and for the past 40 years). In Milan we need to change our politics and invest in the transportation system and its conditions, which are awful to say the very least. In Rome things are looking pretty good, instead. Good for you guys.

      Milan's subway is the worst in all of Italy. Never seen a dirtier and stinkier metro than Milan's in my whole life (and I've seen dozens of subway systems around the world). Italy doesn't shine in regards to subways but Rome, Turin and Naples offer a much better quality of service without any doubt.
