My theory is that they had to limit the resolution to 360p for safety reasons because we regular people couldn't stand the sheer BEAUTY of this performance.
Simply brilliant how Gary turned the combination of classical Chopin piano playing and a pop song by Barry Manilow into a rock opera. And the backing vocals are may be even more brilliant.
The Chopin intro is in the original Barry Manilow version. The song's debut went un noticed on Barry's album, until Donna Summer gave it a disco remix & added some very 70's heavy breathing & ad libbed talky bits.
My 3 years old baby LOVES AND SINGS this song, he makes me cry, the song is so beautiful, Gary Barlow and this particular version is UNBELIEVABLE. MAGICAL, no doubt!!! Love from Argentina. This song makes some very dark days so much better...
Gotta praise the backing vocals of Howard, Jason, and especially Mark's part. It made the song so amazingly powerful. Glad they did this rendition instead of their fast version one. Bravo Take That👏👏👏

This helped me get through the loss of my Dad who was a huge Take That fan , My favourite version always, Dad would have loved it .
Most of the people ignore that the melody of this song is a symphony of Chopin.

Take That hit it beautifully! One of the best rendition of Could It Be Magic.
From a more simpler time in 1992 and this masterful beautiful version from over 10 years ago. Things where more complicated but nothing like now.
Take That achieved something that most boy bands failed to do. They crossed into every demographic and became multi generational.
And when they performed it touched all those people.
Couldn't agree more! Honestly, name one other boyband, girlgroup or solo artist that has a multi-generational fanbase. I don't think today's bands or artists will have the same effect.
Edit: This is not a discredit to bands like The Beatles, Depeche Mode, Blondie and others BEFORE THEM having that effect already.
it can happen when when a boy band there is made of valuable artists, it's a matter of fact that more or less all the members of the band have had a decent solo career

@@EvaaRashid I agree with Take That compliments but.... You can compliment one band without diminishing the others. Many artists from the 80s have multi-generational fanbase. For example, Depeche Mode (am a fan, witnessed multi-generations of fans at the concerts and forums) and many other bands/artists from that era of that caliber. Be serious.

I have to say some people take the mick out of Barry Manilow but he had a raw talent as a song writer, and Gary Barlow did a fabulous version, and stayed quite true to the original. I LOVE THIS !!!

Time to take out your Manilow Deep Cut Bingo Cards for this one. Mark a spot if you've found the following:
1. The Copa Girls
2. A good approximation of the original live performance from Midnight Special
3. The same tones and synths hitting the same notes as the Trevor Horn remix from 1993
4. A great approximation of the musical buildup towards the end of the performance
I still maintain this is one of the best covers out there! In fact, I listen to this performance more than I do Barry's but I'm a *huge* fan of Mandy/Could It Be Magic, so that's pretty much when I listen to Barry. Grew up on Barry - huge Fanilow. That being said, this is still one of my favorite covers - true to Barry in every way.
