I have a v8 Lexus and plan on putting one in each of my stock headers and then run some tubes to my muffler delete, and put one more in my muffler delete so that I can have stock, muffler delete, and full flowing when I want.. please let me know if they leak any noise at all

I bought some of the cheap-o-eBay $120.00 cutouts… leaked and rattled…simple fix cured the leak and rattle…grease the perimeter of the butterfly flap get some permatex high temp sealant #81878 put the sealant on the seat where flap meets seat. Shut the valve and leave for 24 hours. It actually makes a seal and the grease will keep the flap from sticking to the sealant…worked for me.

I’ve got the same setup, and love it on my ‘14 1500. The only issue I found, is that the flap doesn’t seal 100% perfectly... so there is a little bit of fume leak. So I took of the turn-down, and had a muffler shop stick on about 3-4’ of pipe to get it more rearward. Other than that, it’s AWESOME! :-)

Regularly opening and closing them every 100 miles or so helps keep them freely moving from carbon build up. Like you said in the video spray them with wd40, but should also spray them with break cleaner once a month to remove build up. It sounds like alot of maintenance, but not really, opening and closing, as well as spraying them down with brake cleaner once a month really isn't that difficult. A few seconds of spraying is a good trade off. Love the idea of a cut out, like my truck to be quiet most of the time (as well as the fact basically straight piping on demand is louder than an aftermarket exhaust)especially at 5am leaving for work lol joke about hating neighbors all we want, but as much as I love loud engines, I'm not such a fan myself at that hour lol
    Edit
The common complaint of creating an exhaust leak over time is often the cause of said carbon build up, preventing the valve from completely closing, another reason to clean with brake cleaner even when it's still turning freely.
