That’s good to hear I’ve always thought these might be gimmicky or just cheap or something but hearing it’s already lasted 2 years for you makes me think I might need one. They look pretty easy to install too.

That's another good reason why you need a hidden, WIRED button, not a remote.
The less wireless hackable your vehicle is, the better.
That alone to me, is worth the extra effort & weight of direct wiring.

I feel that pain. I'm in Columbus and just sent my 300zx to the junkyard because the bottom 2 inches of unibody were nothing but rust. I thought I had bad suspension bushings, turns out it was just the roof (t tops mind you) was the only thing holding it together. Can't complain too much, $700 and I got 65k miles out of it.

Nolan being in love with his exhaust is the best thing to ever grace my eyes.
What's interesting about cutouts is how much exhaust still goes through the muffler. I have an electric set on my car that I can open as little or as much as I want and even wide open it still feels like at least half the flow comes out the tail pipe.

@@Che1seabluesdrogba11 stuff like that or extra aftermarket lights can be wired pretty easily. Attach the negative, usually black wire to any ground on the vehicle. And attach the positive, usually red wire to a fuel system relay terminal, one that recieves power when you turn the key.

Having a sleeper is also incredibly satisfying. I went with Cobb parts and a tune by a local shop ('17 WRX premium stage 2 on 93oct) I'm significantly faster than a stock STI, though probably not on a road course, and the reliability and comfort are well preserved. I also don't attract cops with the same frequency as STI owners reportedly do. I'm fairly confident that this wouldn't work on the FA20t without a dedicated tune.

I lost my eyesight in one eye because I wasn't wearing safety glasses doing something similar. A metal chuck shot straight through my eye. Safety glasses are definitely worth it, I regret not wearing them every day now

I would also wrap the exhaust. Not just to protect the vacuum-lines, but to also, in theory, keep consistent heat in the exhaust for best flow.
