Mavs fan here. I agree. Loved this guy when he was in NY. Awesome defender. Does so many things the right way. Tough tough guy. Good offensive players hate going against him. Every great team needs a Grimes. He is what Josh Green can become.

I disagree on THJ being iso ball, he's reliant on someone else for a majority of catch-and-shoot, Grimes is not. Grimes also plays strong D, something THJ doesn't excel at. For me this focus is on surrounding Luka with two-way guys that can help hide him.

Definitely not an iso player. Can't be trusted to handle the ball. He's pretty much useless unless he gets an open three. Grimes is way better.
