    I told my now 23 yr old son when he was 16ish that if he watched the pilot episode, he would be unable to stop. He scoffed at me for a year before finally watching it. I kid you not, he watched the entire original series straight through. We would hear the theme playing all throughout the night. Now, my 17 yr old went through the exact same thing. I convinced him that watching episode 1 would be enough to get him hooked. After several months of trying, he watched it. We are now approaching season 4, and he asks every day if we can watch episodes. Such an incredible series.

      @DrAnderson1 Před 3 lety +1

      @@mightybitchy - No argument from me there. And I understand that the reboot episodes ended the way they did because Gillian Anderson basically felt the same way, and she felt like it was an injustice to the original show, so she chose not to continue making them. But, HOW COULD THEY END THINGS THAT WAY?!? I mean, COME ON! I’d rather not have a reboot than to have it end like that!! We definitely deserved a little closure, not have it end at the beginning of a brand new story. If they knew there was even a possibility that GA wouldn’t be returning, and she made it pretty clear to everyone that she didn’t plan to....all they had to do was leave out the last line she says. It didn’t have to be there. If she DID decide to continue, then they could have just tossed that part into the storyline in episode 1 of the next season.
      But, I still love them. All of them. Lol. My favorite reboot episodes were the one with Reggie & the Mandela effect......and the one where artificial intelligence got a little too smart. And also evil.

    Episodes of the X Files generally come in two sorts. You have the stand alone "monster of the week" type stories. Then there's the long running story arc about wealthy industrialists helping aliens to take over the world. The industrialists secretly plan to defeat the aliens after the aliens have conquered the world so the industrialists can rule whatever is left of the world instead of the aliens. If only that story had not already been done by Doctor Who... in 1968. Wait! What?
    Go watch the 1968 Doctor Who story "The invasion".

Love Gillian Anderson, Like Duchovny, William Davis (a favorite insightful manipulator) and Mitch Pilligi. Many thanks to all concerned. Will search for film.
