Wow, I need this on my cast iron drain pipe. I don’t fully understand the design of the head, but I understand the principles it operates on, and it makes total sense. Would come in constant contact with the sides without being rigid Where it could take a gouge out of an uneven section. I’m guessing the centripetal force of the spinning head makes it expand?

Yes, that's correct, the centrifugal force keeps it fully expanded. It's an awesome tool for cast iron pipe!

Hi, good question! This job was completed a few years ago so we can't say for certain. This work can usually be completed in an hour or so for an average sized house, but it all depends on condition, pipe diameter, how worn the tool is, the experience of the operator and of course length of pipe! Our technical team usually say 5 mins per metre of pipe is enough, but there are so many variables that this is a very rough estimate. If you would like to discuss this further please send your details using the contact forms on our website at www.picotegroup.com and we will give you a call!
