Thank you for picking me to interview for this. You guys made me feel so comfortable and that conveys well on film. You all doing this has given me the encouragement I needed to continue down the path to be a motivational public speaker.
I love your channel! I watch all your shows. I am also passionate about Appalachia, our culture, and our language. I thought it was funny when I saw your daughter finding rocks and selling them. I have an obsession with rocks. I didn't know anyone else did, lol! Thank you for taking the time to comment. You made my day!
@@tericrawfordbrown When I heard you talking about your driveway I thought "Katie and her would get along great!" 😀 So glad you enjoy our videos. I really liked the things you said about Appalachia. Would love to get to meet you someday!
@@CelebratingAppalachia I feel the same! This is a documentary about Blackberry Winter. czcams.com/video/8-GHEhzond8/video.html if you are interested. I would love to sit down and talk with you!! We can't be too far from one another by the sounds of our accents. lol.
This woman's heart is tremendous! I am so inspired by her to find my thing and help people. I feel like I could sit down and talk to her all day. This is probably my favorite interview so far. Thank you, Teri, for sharing your heart and living what you believe!
Thank you for your kind words...these guys helped me feel like we were just sitting and chatting. It calmed my mind so I could just "chat" or talk. I am glad that came through to you! Shows the talent of Josh and Jacob and their team. Pulls the best out of the ones they are interviewing.
We all are called to serve. Our nation, in some respects, has forgotten or chooses to ignore this calling. The characteristic that shines through, above and beyond all others, in this video is the need to respect all people, regardless of circumstances. The value placed on receiving only quality items as donations is huge. Everyone deserves the best quality s/he/they can get, again, regardless of the situation. This speaks volumes about her and the organization she leads. I personally appreciate the latter part of the video and how Teri's descriptions help us viewers better understand how she has become the person she is and also what she values.
What an absolutely beautiful woman, inside and out. And she’s right… we all have that thing that we ourselves need to be doing, that we so often say “I wish someone would do something about this” or “Someone needs to do this”, when all along maybe we are that someone who needs to be doing it. The way this woman describes growing up and her culture and perspective on life… I just wish all of us could have that. That simple life, but so so fulfilled. I just loved hearing this woman’s story. I truly think Appalachian people are some of the last people to have this kind of culture and closeness with nature, community, and family. It’s knitted into the very fabric that makes up Appalachia.
Your comment touched my heart. You get it!!! Thank you for taking the time to say such kind words. I love my community and my people. The false stereotypes about Appalachia baffles and anger me. It is so far from the truth! Thank you again.
Teri, I show your videos to everyone I know. I’m transporting Appalachian culture to Louisiana and you’re the ambassador I use to show what our people are like. Great job as always. I tell everyone I know that I was in the Rescue Squad with her!! 😁
Having empathy to want to help and then helping without and with loving, kindness. Isn't that what we would all want? Thank you for taking time to comment. Teri
Wow. What a truly beautiful soul. Josh, I wasn't sure just what this channel was going to be about. You have provided a true gift here. What Teri spoke of, this is what matters and what is needed. May it remind every one of us who watches this that this is our true purpose in life, and inspire and motivate us all to do likewise. What a change that would bring about. Richest blessings to Teri and her ministry and to you, your team and this work. And "thank you". 🥰♥️🤗
