Just a note: when you're arrested in the United States, you aren't taken to prison - you're taken to jail. Jail and prison are both holding/correction centers, but jail is where you're taken after being charged and prison is where you're taken after you've been convicted and typically only if you'll be held for longer than 1 year.
Yes you can go to jail and not be a felon but you're still a convict. Jails and prisons are full though which is why everyone gets out of jail after a few months at most. We can't lock up the people we need to so they do what they want and teach others they can get away with it. At least it's been like that since obama.

The three women that shoplifted, get a real surprise when the handcuffs come out. Shoplifting is not a job. It should piss all of us off that they act like it's no big deal making the rest of us pay more for products. The stores insurance goes up so do prices for the rest of us, so the store can pay the rate hike. What really pisses me off is that they had the money to pay for the shit they took.

The three females were able to stay on their phones, calling their mommies while being handcuffed. Young girls over the age of 18 dressed in not a lot of clothing so they weren’t treated the same as the other females I’ve seen. I’m glad they were arrested but let’s treat everyone the same. A criminal is a criminal no matter what they look like.

I think the issue in Chloes case was that the officers were withholding a necessary drink of water because she was misbehaving, in this i think that's a problem with the officer, a drink of water is a necessity, not a privilege which the officer made it with his behavior
Water and anything including him or mints is with held because it can alter the tests. And it would be dangerous to leave her there with out the protection for the nurse with a crazy person doing whatever they want when they want. She was trying to get any control she could get… demanding water was the only way she thought she could tell this officer what he was going to do and she thought he was going to “obey” her orders. That’s not how it works.

I’m in the recovery community. I don’t know of a single American city that doesn’t have food available to the homeless. It’s not available all the time and it’s not yummy snacks, but it’s there if you plan to get it.

In every American community there are food pantries, churches, and community centers where people can get food. In fact, if she asked at the local police station for food they would get food for her. There is no reason to steal food.
