Hey, you're the guy who bought the springs off me! Nice video mate! Leave the rear sway bar links standard, i put extended links in mine and the extra droop made me have to put taller springs in and now it needs a diff drop and adjustable upper control arms AND i had to remove my roof rack to fit under my roller door lol. Opened a can of worms there.
Love the look of this, just bought an identical one, would be keen to see more content from this!
Awesome video my guy! Can't wait to see more Prado 90 content.
Thank you mate!
Looks great champion.
Only problem I can see happening here is when truly off-roading you will have so much debris caught up around all your venerable components.
There is a reason why there should be a gap between your tyres and sub frame.
It looks great filling the space up with 33's though I would be considering all the circumstances before I spent big bucks on big tyres that belong on big trucks with even bigger spaces.
Hope all things work out for you and you enjoy your vehicle to its fullest ability. Just remember looks is one thing and reliable is another.
Take care enjoy your vids.
Just a hint, move front sway bar links to rear axle and buy a set of KZN130 rear swaybar links for the front. This will even out both swaynars with 2" lift.
Looks great. Going to do this to mine. Cheers
Would have been a perfect time to knock out those ball joints. Looks good!
And thanks I watches videos for about 4 hours but no body has shown the 90 series prado rear shocks removal as its upper nuts not visible in this model car, you done it thanks, now I got some idea to change it but still thinking the spanner can go there or not as it very narrow space there .
Just got myself a 1997 90series prado.
Might need to get chopping myself
cant wait for fwd-ing videos, and also, try get a mean exhaust on it ay ♥
Definitely on the cards! Thanks for watching x
Awsome 🏆❤
hah reminding me of the day I bought my cordless grinder - prado rear shocks!
Awesome, please share with us the details of offset you’re on.. seems most of the others are looking forward for your reply.. cheers mate 🍻
Hey man !
Just bought one of these and wondered what wheel and tyre size you’ve got on that ? And what negative you are using ?
Really hope to connect as this is exactly what I’m doing to mine ! Great set up !!
Hey mate, looks sick - what dobinsons lift kit is this?
Hi. I just fitted a 2" lift ( an OEM Brand ) on my Prado 95. The front is now higher than the rear by an inch. The mechanic said the reason for this was because he changed the front rubber mountings (I believe you called it a tophat) as they were worn. He said it will take a week or 2 for the coil to settle. When I first took it out of the shop yesterday the front was 2 inches taller than the back. He said the other way to ensure the back was higher was to change the tophat at the rear too. What are your thoughts?
Very nice, thanks. What is the wheel offset?
Are u happy witb thise springs. I have 2" Dobinsons lift kit aswel but the springs are heavy duty and have f all flex!
Do you know if they make extended sway bar links?
Why did you use the TJM springs instead of the Dobinson springs?
Considering doing the same to mine also. What width and offset are your rims? Mine already scrubs the mud flaps with 31s on stock ride height.
I have a 1998 Prado 3.0L diesel. I wonder how this build would effect fuel economy and stability on the highway. Any thoughts?
Do you reckon you could get away with 32 inch wheels and no lift, looking to get the best of both worlds
Cuanto me cuesta tener una de esas land cruiser serie 90 en mi país RD
Hi there, do you know where I can find the Radiator Grille that comes in black color with the "Toyota"word on it ?
Hey legend what offset are the rims?
And without raising my car tyres are 275 70 16 , can I put 285 70 17 ?
My car fuel consumption is 17L per 100 km , how minimise it , is there any thing in engine to be replaced or repair for fuel consumption or 17L per 100km is normal for these 2002 Prado 90 series ? Thanks.
Hey mate awesome vid, just want to know if you had to do anything else mechanically too fit that size?or is the 2inch lift fine and are you having any issues with cv’s?any info be awesome
Sort the seal clearance issue & ur good to go with a 2” lift kit!
No cv troubles
@@LovedayMotorsports do you mean guard clearance?or where would seal clearance be,sorry bro this is all new to me

hi mate what offset are you running? im runnning 265/75R16 on a neg 23 rim and love to go to 285s.
What were the tires, size and brand
I have prado 98 standard.. I want to change
Hey mate, I've also got to do the same seam bashing exercise and was wondering if I can hammer it in the opposite direction to what you did? Reason I want to do it the other way is so that I don't need to take the wheels off.
Hey mate! Honestly I’m not to sure if you’ll get the clearance but might be worth a shot!!
Hi, which wheels offset you use? 8"? et? thanks!
Where is this spot in SA? I’m from Adelaide aswell
What spec are the steelies?
nice vlog
Thank you mate!
@@LovedayMotorsports can you tell me which model tow hitch you have, please?
What offset are the rims ?
Awesome video. 👌 what offset are ya rims?
Hey mate, cheers! I need to measure the offsets at some point but they 16x8s!
How to unscrew the rear shock/strut upper nuts, do we need to cut it or hold with a spanner the nut at the top and unscrew the whole shock ? Thanks.
I just did mine.. just put a socket up top to hold the nut and hand unscrew the shock from it's body
Btw! The rear end was a farkn nightmare to do..lucky for me i had plenty if beer
What’s your wheel and tire specs
Where can i buy this ?
With a 2” lift, do you need a diff drop to correct CV angles?
I haven’t personally, Keep an eye out for the next few videos & I’ll show you what my angles of my CV’s are might even do a diff drop!
Hi, What's wheels size and offset?
Hi, I have the same car and want to change the faulty rear shock/strut but can get access to the top nut I can't see that nut like other cars visible , so will I raise the car by chassis and the nut will be visible or what is the applicable way to unscrew that top nut and change the shock/ strut rear one ?
Одеваеш накидной ключ на гайку держишь его другой рукой береш я за верхнюю часть амортизатора и врашая его откручиваеш если туго можно газовым ключем
Легко и просто
@@user-zm6qj5wh4r I will hold the nut with spanner and unscrew the whole shock ?
@@user-zm6qj5wh4r I dont have and dont know gas wrench can I use oil filer wrench to unscrew whole shock , and the jack stands should be on chassis or on both side or rear diff ?
Had to put a spanner on the top nut and let it hold locked on the body . Its a tight squeeze. Then used a chain wrench that is used to unscrew engine oil filter on the shocker. One side bolt broke off. Its a painful job.
Where did you buy the rims from?
Tarzia tires
@@LovedayMotorsports thanks mate
is it same with 285/75R16 tires?
Uses a little bit more fuel but other then that everything feels lot nicer with the lift & cheap mud tyres!
@@LovedayMotorsports what tire is it exactly? And the exact size? Is it 305/70 R16, becoz I am currently running 2 inches and 285 75 16 planning to go bigger tires
Hey what size tyres have you got in the first before clip?
whats wheels are ?
Fake beadlocks! In a 16x8
what tires did you have on before? size? 33?
31s
Is that 33s?
Yeah mate!
@@LovedayMotorsports How much negative offset do I need to get a clearance?
@@maniacmista I need to know the same thing. I'm getting scrubbing now on 285/75s
@@JiminLai I think it'll only scrub if no lift
@@maniacmista I have a 2 inch lift and it's scrubbing
