Great vid Ricky, been away a bit in Hospital with Acute Apenditis, they caught it early so 4 days of drips, injections,more drips and more injections but I'm home with a nice bottle of morphine and another 8 days of antibiotics 🤣 . One thought for the channel, will you be reviewing any budget 1:10 , our little trucks cant cut the BMX track sadly

@@beyondRC yeah mate lots of morphine 😅 but I swear on my kids it was evil, apparently I passed out in the Ambulance due to the pain. I'm also a terrible sleeper at best but getting drips and injections every few hours,then observations every few hours I was climbing the walls to get out. Anyhoo I was looking at that range of Mavericks and Ftx. I love the look of the quantum in green,but also love the look of the Ftx Outlaw, I thought I was set on the Outlaw but it apparently has a few dodgy flaws.
Great video. Multiple cameras , drone shots...wow,well done ! I think the Redcat Volcano 16 is the same chassis so that might be another source for replacement parts. Love the budget cars also. Thank you for posting.

I have been watching alot of rc videos lately and youtube is filled with people that do reviews that is an absolute pain to watch. This youtuber is one of the better when it comes to Rc. The videos is very well done and you get all the essential info that you are looking for. I cant believe you dont have 100-300k subscribers! Keep up the good videos, they are very very good

They're actually the same and the funny thing is one transmitter will control both cars everytime if I get two models that have the same transmitter I never put batteries in the new one 😂
Been there, done that, spent hundreds or even thousands on "pro" RC, and i sold everything, cause its like a hole in your pocket.... ill stick now to cheap and reasonable cars just for fun.
It's a great looking little Truggy, and I agree about it looking better than the HBX. I've had to order a new shell for my son's HBX as it's cracked to hell. I was looking at the new RedCat Racing Volcano 16, which again, is exactly the same as both the HBX and the FTX (and the HS1602). I should have looked for an FTX in the UK, rather than having to order from China. 👍🏻
Exactly Rob i think styling wise its better than the haiboxing but the main advantage is parts availability and ease of access to parts here in the UK which make this a very cheap viable option indeed!
@@beyondRC it's a shame that there isn't the support for the RedCat in the UK. They do a red truck body that's beautiful!! So I've ordered a clear body from China, and see if I can do my own!! 👍🏻
First good review of this. Nice to be able to get locally as imports aren't great at the moment. Does the truck have more ground clearance than truggy? Great video as always.
RC newbie here, great video. Decision was made and bought one for my son. He's loves it, but it has got wet and is now unresponsive. It's still receiving as you can tune the steering but there's no go. Any advice? 🤔
@@beyondRC she loves it. She's only 4 so being able to dial the speed down a bit on the Radio was a real bonus so she can keep control of it a bit easier
Hi there As a kid I was mad on my rc cars, all nikko, never had any toy grade. Now my kids are at the right age we started playing with them but needles to say they didn't last long. After watching a load of your vids this seemed like the ideal way to start so we bought it and we love it. My only problem is battery life. I'd like to buy some batteries with a higher amp hour. I see 1500 mah ones advertised but looking at the dimensions they don't look like they would fit. Do you or any one else for that matter have know of a suitable spare for this ? Any help would be much appreciated. Keep up the good work, me and the kids love your videos.
i think a 2s 1000mah fits perfectly but this was so long ago now i simply cannot remember. Im sure i used a 1200mah 2s as well but again cant confirm :/! glad you like the vids welcome to the channel!

Hi I have one of these but I have to keep going on and off the throttle as it cuts all power to the motor if I keep any amount of throttle on for around 2 seconds Once it cuts out there is a blue led on the receiver that starts to flash slowly Only does it on the ground If I hold it up it’s fine It’s like the esc Is overloading under any load? Any idea? Regards
I put these wheels on my wl toys 144001 and on the rear of my 124019 to make them sand dune buggies ..il send you a video soon . Plus want to start doing drag races on the beach down south if you think be a good summer event ?
Do you have anyway to compare these to the Haiboxing hailstorm? It has the same layout but the hailstorm says it’s 1/18. It looks the same scale as the 1/16. If they are the same it would really help with finding parts. Please help:)
For sure Paul. Welcome to RC and my channel! Get yourself a couple extra batteries. 1000mah lipos are cheap and easy to come by. The truggy is light and 1000mah will last you a decent amount of time. 👍😎
Just bought one of these for my boy. I bought a spare battery as well as the one that came with it. I assume you plug the balance plug into the charger, however the manual mentions green light but I only have red and it went out almost instantly after starting charging. I would of thought these batteries don't come with much charge so thought i would have to wait a while for full charge. Did your charger just have red light as well?
Thats correct balance plug into charger if using the included USB charger :) I didn't use the included charger i used my own lipo charger so cant comment on that unfortunately

You don`t get any instructions with models from MN or WPL, really liking FTX as a beginner.

Bought the Ftx tracer monster truck it has a 3wire servo is this a update??

Yes mine does red only too and works good. Bought two, one came at 70% and one at 30%. Enjoy!
