I'm Brazilian, and one interesting fact about Lebanon is that Brazil boasts the biggest population of Lebanese people outside of Lebanon (some estimates put it higher than the population of Lebanon itself).
That said, Lebanese cousine is obviously very present here. The foods you cited, I knew them all, even though I've never been to anywhere close the Middle East, am not a Middle East enthusiast, nor am a gastronomy enthusiast. In other words, great parts of the Lebanese culture have really been integrated into the Brazilian one, and that is fascinating, and not very widely known.
A curious fact: Brazil's current president, Michel Temer, is the son of two Lebanese people, who were born in the city of Btaaboura.

Seaman83 Syrians have also come in heavy numbers here. Actually, although Lebanese were the most significant group of Arab immigrants to come here, the Middle Eastern community here is more often refered to as the "Syrian-Lebanese community", which shows the strength of the Syrian people's presence in Brazil. Numbers are hard to grasp, but it's certain that the Syrian people were the ones whom sent the second biggest contingent of Middle Eastern immigrants to Brazil, specially to the Southeast region, and were one of the major groups of Asian immigrants.
They are specially present in the commerce/industrial economic sector, as a matter of fact, which is different than most of the other immigrants who came to Brazil, who mostly went to work on agriculture.

We can all conclude that Lebanon and the majority of its people are in FACT Phoenician! There have been various studies that support this notion, in fact this source gives an extensive insight in this topic, inevitably concluding all debate - www.the961.com/study-proves-lebanese-are-phoenician/ . This is the most detailed study ever done about the Lebanese region. Studies coming from Cambridge and Harvard Universities who literally tested Lebanese DNA from people of all sects against ancient Canaanite mummies.
The argument isn't that the Lebanese are not Arab because we are Phoenician. My argument is that the Lebanese are Lebanese - in identity and culture. As a subculture, yes, the Lebanese people have some who have Arab culture It has been part of their main culture for a long period. But overall and above all, they are Lebanese.
The Lebanese can't say that they are Arab when their ancestry says otherwise. They speak the language (but this is only for this period), however, not formal Arabic instead Lebanese-Arabic. Their culture is very different to that of Saudis or Yemenis. Language is not the only indicator of culture. A good portion of the world speak English, doesn't make them American or British. In 100 years, we don't know what we will be speaking. It won't change who we are.
The Arabs and Ottomans simply invaded Lebanon and imposed their culture and language on us. Mainly the Ottoman Empire imposed the Arabic language on the Lebanese as a way to reduce the divide and reduced the friction from the incoming invasion. Before that time people in the mountains were speaking Aramaic/Syriac until the last century. That's why you have recognisable strong accents in those areas. In todays society the Lebanese don't speak Arabic in their day-to-day life they speak Lebanese (even colloquial) to each other! The laws and news reporters are the only ones who do speak actual Arabic. As a result Phoenician roots are still strongly present among the country.

Lebanon never was Arabic and will never be and it’s called the Lebanese Republic not the Arabian Lebanese Republic. We were in Lebanon hundreds and hundreds of years before the Muslim Arabs invaded the region and couldn’t invade most of Lebanon especially the Lebanese Mountains and that’s why we kept our Christian Lebanese identity and kept our traditions and even kept our Aramaic language for hundreds of years, but sadly we lost it and few Lebanese still speak it beside practising it in the church.

    1- It is pronounced Man-'ou-sheh.
2- I find the electronics/laptop part to be slightly inaccurate. When it comes to phones and laptops, many retailers are usually allowed to sell them (at least in my region). The higher pricing could be the result of extra taxes and customs.

According to the Persians best informed in history, the Phoenicians began the quarrel. These people, who had formerly dwelt on the shores of the Erythraean Sea, having migrated to the Mediterranean and settled in the parts which they now inhabit, began at once, they say, to adventure on long voyages, freighting their vessels with the wares of Egypt and Assyria ...
      - Herodotus, The History, I.1
The Greek historian Strabo believed that the Phoenicians originated from Bahrain.[21] Herodotus also believed that the homeland of the Phoenicians was Bahrain.[22][23] This theory was accepted by the 19th-century German classicist Arnold Heeren who said that: "In the Greek geographers, for instance, we read of two islands, named Tyrus or Tylos, and Aradus, which boasted that they were the mother country of the Phoenicians, and exhibited relics of Phoenician temples."[24] The people of Tyre in South Lebanon in particular have long maintained Persian Gulf origins, and the similarity in the words "Tylos" and "Tyre" has been commented upon.[25] The Dilmun civilization thrived in Bahrain during the period 2200-1600 BC, as shown by excavations of settlements and Dilmun burial mounds. However, some claim there is little evidence of occupation at all in Bahrain during the time when such migration had supposedly taken place.[26]
Canaanite culture apparently developed in situ from the earlier Ghassulian chalcolithic culture. Ghassulian itself developed from the Circum-Arabian Nomadic Pastoral Complex, which in turn developed from a fusion of their ancestral Natufian and Harifian cultures with Pre-Pottery Neolithic B (PPNB) farming cultures, practicing the domestication of animals, during the 6200 BC climatic crisis which led to the Neolithic Revolution in the Levant.[27] Byblos is attested as an archaeological site from the Early Bronze Age. The Late Bronze Age state of Ugarit is considered quintessentially Canaanite archaeologically,[28] even though the Ugaritic language does not belong to the Canaanite languages proper.[29][30]

Finally! Been waiting for this since the beginning. I'm Canadian but of Lebanese heritage, I'm so happy you finally got to it! :D
And since I'm Lebanese, my opinions of being Arab is mixed. Ethnically, we're probably more Phoenician than Arab. Phoenicians and Arabs are related, we're both Semitic groups related to eachother and Hebrew people. However, the reality is that we speak Arabic (in Lebanon), are politically in the Arab World, and are culturally more similar to Arabs than other Semitic countries (Israel, Ethiopia, etc.). So I think if you're on the side of saying we're only Arab or only Phoenician/Canaanite, you're not being honest. We have racial and cultural roots in both.

SilverAbsol Absolutely true, Lebanese are culturally Arabs of ethnically (mostly) Phonenician descent. Similar way goes for Moroccans. We are ethnically almost all Berbers and have very little Arab DNA, but most of us speak Moroccan Arabic, we understand all Arabic dialects and get along very well with our Arab brothers.
