- Welcome to the SupaSoul Productions channel! This week's forward Friday selection is a remaster of a Frank Sinatra cover by Angelina Jordan from her cover channel. This young Norwegian phenom is now signed with Republic Records and already poised to become a household name. She has been honing her vocal prowess since she was literally a toddler. I took one of her casual Karaoke videos she did when she was about 10, and tried to bring the sound a little closer to studio quality. Thanks Keith! I am definitely not new to the Barefoot Princess. My channel is a bit different, as it's not really a reaction channel. I post my own music as well as that of other artists I find who I think are worthy of promotion. I try to find nuggets of theirs, videos that I feel I can add value to, in order to give them a little shine and, hopefully build my channel at the same time. Thanks for asking!
You have made a very nice new variation of her original version. It could have been somewhat better, if you had been able to dampen the string part and let Angelina's voice come through more clearly. It is always the voice that must be at the center, always the vocalist, the voice, and especially Angelina's voice!
I just don't see what people see in this voice.
What kind of music do you like? This is definitely not the best example of her vocal prowess. I would suggest checking out her Adele covers and her album Old Enough to get a better idea. There is something real and genuine about Angelina that really speaks to people. If you don't get it, it's hard to explain. Thanks for listening and commenting!
@@supasoulproductions i've listened to a number of her songs.. I guess she just doesn't do it for me.
As for the music I like. I listen to underground hip hop, classic rock (pink floyd all time favorite band), trip hop, mid tempo chill beats, Roots country, jazz, blues, world music (especially far eastern influence) I'm a big fan of post modern jukebox, tuba skinny and that old timey sound. Haley Rinehart is one of my favorite vocalists and that's how I learned about Angelina as everyone in Haley's comment sections kept mentioning her. I just don't see what the hype is. I wish her luck and success as I have no hate or ill will, I just don't think she's that special.
@@static825 I really appreciate your checking out the channel. Hailey is quite amazing' as is most all of PMJ's music. I do have a Tuba Skinny track up on the channel as well, Art is quite subjective, and not everyone will like the same things. That would be boring anyway!
