@@myjets8r Amy Winehouse's life was not fate. She had many physiological and psychological problems that contributed to her drug and alcohol abuse. Girl was always high or drunk. She was an addict. The music business didn't do her in. That's a romantic notion.

Yeah she is stupidly good, and so is her voice. That was jam packed with flavor. The fry, the breathiness, the vibrato it all seems like the easiest thing in the world for her. Congrats is as fine a way to put it as any. I hope she becomes as successful as she wants to be. I don't know if I'd wish #1 on her, it sounds tough on people, but hey if she wants that she wants it. I'm even expecting it to happen, way too good in every way a solo artist would want to be.

I really like Angelina because she has a natural lower register, a mezzo-soprano. So many female pop singers really cannot handle their soprano ranges and all I hear is close to abominable screeching. Even songstresses who are hugely popular, just because they hit the high notes, regardless ignore their tonality and vocal control, but the fans seldom notice it.
This young lady is shoulders above these other so-called divas. She is blessed not only with an amazing voice, but with the intelligence to know how to maximize her use of it.

Yeah, should take over the world with her original album coming out, and promotion of it from Republic records. Surely she'll be massive as anyone really, but I still agree. Even just the natural growth of a youtube channel should be effected more by loads of content and consistent greatness. I would think. Let's call it good since she's only 16 though, and give the world the benefit of the doubt that they'll figure it out.

I heard this voice for the first time 5 days ago thanks to my son and my response was who in the h.... is that. I'm 76 and have seen and heard many great artists but please at 15 - 16 years old this young lady is just mindblowing. I was born in Denmark so Norway is just up the road so to speak but I live in Australia which makes me wonder why in the world, to my knowledge, havn't I ( we } not heard of this young lady long time ago. In the last 5 days I've played her songs many many times and every time I play her songs tears roll. I have to give it a break before I dehydrate but heavens above what a talent!
Thankfully her family and Angelina herself are ensuring that she can live a normal life for as long as she can. Finish school etc. She is signed with Republic records, as their priority new artist, but they to are patient. She will release a full album in near future, and hopefully they will get the promotion right.

Let me just add that I watched her Elvis Presly cover several times ( Suspicious Minds ) and on two occasions and for a fraction of a second when she turns her head slightly to the right her mouth is so Elvis Presly. It's quite uncanny, I don't know if anyone else have picked this up, but you have to concentrate purely on her mouth to pick it up. I don't know if she herself is aware of this but it's just amazing!

There are the great composers; Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, etc. Then you have the great vocalists; Pavarotti, Caruso, and others. But when we speak of Angelina, we will remember her, I think, as one of the greatest jazz artists of all time. Along with Fitzgerald, Snow, and others of that calibre. But Angelina will always be in a unique category of her own.

Angelina's growth with this song has been incredible. When she first published a cover of this at 13, it was a bit of a surprise for her longtime fans. She was pushing into new territory. She has always pushed at the limits, and challenged herself with some of the most difficult songs to sing. Well this song may have been something to challenge herself at 13... but at 16 she makes it look as easy as breathing. The progression of her voice and her artistry has been so amazing to watch. I'm so exited to watch her continue to grow and evolve over the coming years.

This is one of those songs, that separates the girls who can and can't sing. She did a great job here.
May The Divine Protect her as much as The Divine has Blessed her Voice. She has had an Old Soul Singing through her Voice since she was a Kindergartener. She is still a Baby in the World. Her voice has layers of flavor and soul, but let every mesmerized admirer respect her and her talent. May only Authenic and Safe people surround her as sprinkles her Star Dust with the world.
So far, against all odds, it seems that instead of trying to capitalize on her, people have seen the obvious in her, and tried to help and be a part of it instead. The huge egos, the dollar signs, all out the window. Her family and her showed patience and confidence, and are more into her being healthy and continuing to love what she does, looking for longevity and happiness. Longevity is still dollar signs, so professionals seem content to just be decent for her. Who knows, they are forced too by her and her families demands and patience, but they are so far so good at Republic Records it looks like. With her anyway.

I'm 76 and have listened to music all my life as my mother was a dancer so there was always music in our house. I've listened to many of the greats and almost greats. This young girl is already a great and she gets better each year. When she finally is able to really get out into the public domain I will be amazed if she doesn't win awards for almost everything she does. She has that talent to express the feeling vehind the lyrics, and she conveys it in all genres that she sings. I am so glad to have been able to see her over the last 6 years. Wish I could see her live I know ot would be mving.
Such a deep and amazing communicator just in words as well, I have a sneaking suspicion that her original album is going to absolutely floor most of the world. Every single tool for a vocal artist, and writer. There is something different going on lately, in how the legends and industry treat her, the way she carries herself lately seems as calm and confident as when she was a kid. It looks like everyone around her knows the album is already special. That she is already on top of the world before even seeing how people react to it. There are vibes around her that remind me of when she was 7-10 and impossibly, unexplainably good and confident for her age, again. Though I can't quite explain that thoroughly and am biased as anyone. As if some of her songs are being passed around inner circles and unanimously amazing. A 'just wait til you see what's next' kind of vibe as if those around her know something we don't.

She’s still young. I’m glad AJ and her family have been prioritizing her education and “normal” childhood rather than rushing things. You are only a child once.
