    Vendor has a new listing for this kit. I have updated the description with the new link.

      @@nothingalways3 I was going to do the soundboard, but then I got the Spengler wand, and it has almost all the sounds I need. I do plan to connect that to external speaker, and possibly and a custom sound board, arduino controlled, to play the pack sounds and music/sound bytes.

      @@johnny_mo yeah seriously, you make it look like it's simple and accessible to anyone who never done this before. If I buy this kit, I'm gonna use you video as a reference!

      @@raynekraven that’s largely in part to the designer of the kit. He made one that integrates pretty easy and doesn’t require solder. Spongeface really makes good stuff. I know some people might get lost in the written instructions, that’s why I showed it all here.

    How do the lights turn on without the pack sound going off? I noticed you pressed a button, but couldn't see which. My assumption is the wand's button, but I can't exactly tell 😅

    • @johnny_mo
      @johnny_mo  Před 2 lety +2

      The lights now come on when the battery pack is switched on, and they stay on till you switch it back off. The wand functions independently now.

  • @thatgeekoliver
    @thatgeekoliver Před 2 lety +2

    Hey JRMorgen how do the light stay in place like how are they not falling?

    • @johnny_mo
      @johnny_mo  Před 2 lety +1

      They snap into place on the board, and the board is screwed in using the existing screws from the pack

      @@johnny_mo ah ok I see thanks! Currently modding my pack to these mods like. Light alice pack and wand

  • @raynekraven
    @raynekraven Před 2 lety +1

    My question is: after you install that kit, and that the Spengler's wand is hooked like you did, to the pack, how does the light kit gets turned on?

    • @johnny_mo
      @johnny_mo  Před 2 lety +1

      The light kit is currently connected to the original battery pack from the pack. I plan on adding bigger battery packs that will power both soon. As it is, the lights are independent from the wand.

    • @raynekraven
      @raynekraven Před 2 lety +1

      @@johnny_mo I got that, what I meant to say was is the switch for the light kit on the battery pack?

    • @johnny_mo
      @johnny_mo  Před 2 lety +1

      @@raynekraven yes, still using the switch on the og battery pack. Once I build my new motherboard, I am going to add a somewhat hidden switch to the side of the pack and wire it to that

      @@johnny_mo okay thanks for clarifying that :)

      @@johnny_mo once the kit is installed, the board that you left in can be removed since I'm using the spengler's wand's sound effects?

  • @cameronleggett1363
    @cameronleggett1363 Před 2 lety +1

    Instructions don't actually say where to install the vent light on a spirit pack, and I'm not finding anywhere specific to put. Any guidance would be awesome and your videos are nice walkthrough on installation thank you!

    • @johnny_mo
      @johnny_mo  Před 2 lety +1

      The vent light can be added to the “N filter”, which is the capped cylinder at the bottom right of the pack. You would have to drill out the recesses and put in an led strip or individual leds. The ends can then be tied into the wire they provided. Must be 5v for this setup.

  • @limpfinger12
    @limpfinger12 Před 2 lety

    Why would they send the boards together like that?? Seems like asking for a disaster

    • @johnny_mo
      @johnny_mo  Před 2 lety

      I imagine so that each set stays together. Also likely a cost saving method. The boards are prescored, and do snap apart fairly easily, so long as you make sure the pressure is going along the score marks.

      Lol. Not anymore. Most of my NY fam/friends have moved. But you can find two groups on FB that could help… “spirit pack owners”, and “ghostbuster fans worldwide”
