    Built off the same Corozal chassis that provides waterproof, multi-season usability, the Corozal Adventure Drystar Oiled Leather Boots deliver exceptional performance with a more classically styled approach. The only real difference between this boot and the Corozal Adventure WP is that this boot has an upper made from full-grain oiled leather, giving you durability and a classy style that looks right at home whether you’re touring, commuting, or offroad.

    Was looking for info about how much protection they offer compared to an mx boot or a dual sport boot and also how stiff the sole is for walking. I think every review should include this info first. Still wondering.

    • @NotFromConcentrate
      @NotFromConcentrate Před 3 lety +5

      These are more on the dual sport boot side of protection rather than touring. VERY stiff, very solid sole very thick base. You don't want to walk in these. My only complaint is I can't get my pants over them, so being waterproof isn't all that in the rain if the rain can just drip down the pant. Very nicely made boots though...

    that tread on them looks like it sucks if you're trying to pick up your bike on some loose dirt. I really wish that companies would make aggressive treads for their boots, kind of like a hicking boot would have.

    Great overview. Would be helpful if you showed the flex of the sole, in all your boot reviews. A lot of folks are wondering in the comments, me too. Thanks

    • @ferdlhofreiter45
      @ferdlhofreiter45 Před rokem

      the front half or third does flex, even though it takes a bit of force.
      Dont get me wrong, this isn't going to protect you from impacts or anything that happens offroad, but it's definitely good enough for riding onroad.
      the complete upper third of the boot is useless. it doesn't really protect you from anything but thin twigs, but it will make you sweat unnecessarily.
      Since it doesn't have a third buckle, the top may open a bit if you are walking further than into McDonalds and back.
      I'd call it a motocross-lookalike short boot with an unnecessary sweat-appendix on top

    How you grip the bike with boots when your pants are over the boot?

  • @geofherman2
    @geofherman2 Před 4 lety +1

    Did you mention how stiff the sole is? A soft sole is exhausting if you are standing a lot!

  • @streetrider11
    @streetrider11 Před 5 lety +1

    How would you compare the protection of these boots compared to something like the tech 5 or tech 7.
    I've been looking for a good set of boots for on and off road riding on my 250 duel sport but I'm worried they dont have enough protection for those dedicated off road days. I'm a beginner rider so nothing to crazy but I do ride on trails and over some rocky sections. I'd really like a boot I can use for pushing myself offroad but also to be able to get off the bike and do some hiking, I like to take my bike to landmarks and national parks.

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  Před 5 lety +8

      Chris, if you want a boot that can handle off-road and walking, then I would definitely recommend the Corozal or something similar like the Forma adventure. These offer good protection and a fair amount of support. The sole certainly isn't as stiff as the tech 5 or tech 7, but if you're a beginner rider, I don't think this will bother you at all. But when it comes to off the bike and walking, these are some of the best options. My first adv ride i was in some Fox mx boots and the entire time I wished I had a boot on better suited for walking. Hope this helps.-Chase

  • @skulldriver1019
    @skulldriver1019 Před 5 lety

    I would really like a size 16 boot for adv riding. I'm rocking tech 7s for 1200gs gravel roads. As well as xr650r on single track. Yes I can wrangle a pig through stuff that you wouldnt take a trials bike through because I'm 6"6 and 320. pounds. Moto boots suck for adv.
