It's time for my favourite part of Christmas decorating - laying the Christmas table! And this year is a true Lalande classic, as we go wild with pink and create a Baroque fantasy...

It's the Vlogmas time of year again - CHRISTMAS AT THE CHATEAU has begun! Happy Advent!
Follow all of us as we get the chateau ready for a spectacular French Christmas.
Each day will be filled with decorating, cooking, gift buying, carol singing and discovering ancient Christmas traditions from around the world.
As a little side noticing - I love how Amaury’s mum just lovingly rubs the underside of her husbands arm as they jokes about his present wrapping competency as she walks away 🥰 loving relationship goals right there! 💕
I was thinking the same..hee hee hee, I remember catching my grandfather pinching my grandmother's rear... he was about 75 years old... racy!

My family and I are on day 5 isolation( 2kids and husband) got tested positive for covid.. not what i pictured Christmas would look like but with this video.. u inspired me to still decorate and make it special. Merry Christmas everyone!

Am in the same boat! Am truly sorry you are going through this as a family, and at this time of the year.
Cannot believe that it would happen. We have had all vaccines, but now my husband and I are isolated at home.
We though do not have the children at home as we are in our early 70's. But do believe 'all of us' will have a nice Christmas regardless! We are going to get through this ordeal however we can, and we can be thankful, that we are with someone we love. Thank goodness this awful time of not feeling very well will pass. Be well soon!

The table setting is something out of a Christmas dream, it is beyond stunning and the prep was so much fun to watch . May I just say your Aunt and Uncle are a joy to watch. - they light up a room!

The table is so beautiful. My favorite!, as Stephanie would say. I use a lot of cranberry color at Christmas, so the pink is just lovely to me. I plan to set the table tomorrow, so this was wonderful to see. My nativity is on the sideboard, and i have candles and hydrangeas down the table so far.
i hope steph plants plenty of hydrangea. I even spray paint my diried ones. and they look good when one dries them unpainted.
My eyes are dawn to the yellow -much warmer.

It was nice to be there for the thought process you two went through as the design evolved. The dressed table, the tree, and the room fell into each other so beautifully. And thanks for lighting the candles for us. It is splendid.

I love the daily Advent vlogs. Thank you for making them again. I'm not a "pink" person. It's just really not my colour. Having said that, beautifull decorating of the table, and so beautifully match with the Christmas tree. A joy too watch. The two of you decorating together never fails. From a hot Australia thankyou for making advent beautiful my lead up this year was stressful waiting to see if we could be with our children (yes)then not being too well,but lots was made and lots done and breakfast with the lalanders each day was a joy.will miss the daily videos but thank you so much for making them.they will definitely be my Christmas watching for many years even if I have to go back over old ones.love love your table setting reminds me of our childhood when that was the common setting now we are often outside so completely different type of settings.so lovely to see a beautiful setting though.

The yellow toille picked up the yellow in the chairs perfectly. It makes it a table unit, feels embraced. The pink is more open.

Merry Christmas watching the château diaries Christmas advent calendar has actually got me motivated to start decorating for the first time in several years for Christmas thank you very much I love this channel I love everything about Château And Stephanie and everyone at the Château I still Miss Scott man and Isabel and Percy glad to know they are all well but still miss him at the Château. @@lauralaladarling3775 I always thought it was a waist of time and effort after my children had grown to do a Christmas decorating anything. My mother on the other hand who is in her 80’s still goes all out. I never understood the need to do much but being a single mom of 4 it was one more thing I just didn’t see the need or the reason for spending money on stuff. I did do as best as I could for the kids when they was little but now I am finding the reason to do it for me. 2022 will be a much better year looking forward to Swedish death cleaning (it isn’t as bad as that sounds) making room for new things and better enjoyment of home and family
