It's the Vlogmas time of year again - CHRISTMAS AT THE CHATEAU has begun! Happy Advent!
Follow all of us as we get the chateau ready for a spectacular French Christmas.
Each day will be filled with decorating, cooking, gift buying, carol singing and discovering ancient Christmas traditions from around the world.
all the decorations are very well arranged, and the colors are perfect. the nativity in the fireplace is so much better, great move!

I said before that Philip looks more relaxed. No wonder I couldn't read his signals he was holding back part of himself. Stephanie is always Stephanie now she just shows her love in a romantic way.

Imagine being the guest walking into that fairytale at Christmas, and everything from the luxurious touches to the remarkable nostalgia of the nativity in the fireplace as her mother had done, I would probably burst into tears. You two are the most gracious and thoughtful hosts and just the most kind people, your joy at having guests and being around loved ones is contagious.
I would put a saucer under the candle to protect surface. Also my nanny used to turn the teacups upside down so no dust got in. The room is beautiful.
Well your Auntie and Uncle are very lucky indeed to be coming for Xmas, and I am sure they will really appreciate all the attention to detail you and Phil put into preparing their room and it looked beautiful. Xxxx
I'm so enjoying advent this year. It's been simply grand watching everyone run around to create the perfect holiday! We even got advent calendars so we can have a piece of chocolate every night when we watch. It's a new holiday tradition here at Gert's Garden! Thank you

You Aunt and Uncle are going to totally enjoy that room. You spent a lot of time choosing personal touches to add comfort and enjoyment to their visit. You are very thoughtful. Phillip did a wonderful job on the garland. Stephanie move away from the sweets!! cracked me up!!!

Here at our home "Palm Villa" on Vancouver Island British Columbia CANADA we have 3 Nativity sets- one plaster- several figurines are Italian made, one wooden- all hand-painted and one porcelain. It's rather large and remains in a display cabinet. Happy Advent to the Chateau!

How special your guests will feel. Some people would just put clean linens on the bed and run a duster around but you and Phillip have really thought of everything your guests will need or want and then gone high above that to create a special Christmas room for just them to wake up to and go to bed at night. I love it!

If I was ever treated to all this attention to detail and given a room like this as a guest I’d be moved to tears.

How exciting to decorate each room with a tree and ornaments to match. I had a large house and the family room was done in traditional Christmas colours with a fireplace and the formal living room was done in hues of pale blue ,pink, silver white and clear glas ornaments with glittery white poinsettias with pearl centers. the tree was a blue spruce.
Stephanie. As usual your original styling makes the difference to a guests room. You really illustrate that it takes an eye, rather than a huge budget, to create warmth. You do decorating in a well considered manner.

This room is the picture of Christmas Comfort Chic sure to please the most discerning clientele, or as the case may be favorite family members. Well done you. So beautiful.
I must admit as one whose been overwhelmed for a long periods of time in the past non-essential chores, new items, relocated items, and in my case tools pile up, it's a joy to see Stephanie and all those supporting her finally reach a point where they are getting caught up with the mountain of "non-essential" chores enough to steal time for an afternoon "extreme organizing DIY at the château". Organization is often a crucial task which suffers under the weight of everything else that needs urgent doing. And as always seems to be the case once one is organized, one realizes they function and feel a thousand times better after everything is in order. But......as most of us can attest, that organization has a tendency to be neglected when the work load becomes overwhelming again. Oh how our memories have the ever functioning selective programming. If only we could recall just how happy and efficient we were after we became organized. 😄. Stephanie and Philip effortlessly plucking exactly what the room required was a brilliant sight.
Lastly, a huge thank you to Stephanie and Philip for spending many hours each day to bless us with these fun advent videos. I remember the extreme difficulty getting these out the last two years due to bandwidth issues prior to Ian 2.0 boosting reception and upload/download speeds. Few possess Stephanies patience and extreme dedication. Once she commits, she give it her all.

I LOVE the fact that you love your family so much. It was so incredibly sweet and thoughtful of you and Phillip to place special things in the room that would make your aunt and uncle feel welcomed and loved! I really like doing things like that and you have given me some great ideas! Phillip, what a lovely idea you had to place the shades on the sconces. I hope you leave them there because it elevates the room. The pillows and blankets also have an elegant, yet cozy touch. I love everything you’ve done to the room! I think your aunt and uncle will feel like a king and queen.

I’m all for lovely decorations but you need some bare surfaces for guests to have room for their essentials, especially around the mirror, people may bring their own perfume, lotion etc. The room is splendid.
