Great log! Thank you for showing just the few people dancing. There are times I feel that it's just me and questioning if I'm doing something wrong when only that few people are dancing. Good to see I'm not the only one that has this issue sometimes. Like you stated, sometimes the situation has a lot to do with it, no matter how good of music you're playing.
Yeah and I cut out the last 2 hours where no one at all was dancing too.
Nice vid brother! Unlike other "famous" youtube dj's who hide or only show packed dance floors all the time, it was refreshing to see a real gig log. keep up the good content!
I just recently bought a Pioneer Ddj-sb3 I have been using virtual dj before than. You have really got me practicing more so I can do gigs as well.

Great honest gig log yo! Sometimes the wedding dance floor is a struggle due to many factors beyond the DJs control.
Well we always like a packed dance floor and a huge party but sometimes the smaller events are just easier. Great vid my friend

Ya.. I dont think guests want to party hard and thrash around when it comes down to it. You are there to enjoy the celebration of your friends getting married and throw a few moves on the dance floor. Its not a rave or a some kind of club scene by any means. This is pretty a pretty normal scene at most weddings i have done unless its like a 400 person wedding.
great job as usual! I just picked up a projector and tested it out last night, has been on my to do list for a while. I was gonna get a monogram projector but didnt want to deal with printing on transparency paper. A projector has more value as you can do animated monograms too. I advice anyone to learn to make your own monograms, I hate relying on other people or services to get what i need, its super simple to design your own as well as your own animated ones. Thanks again, I will be dropping your name as soon as i order my mount from csl

I'm Jamaican and I've been hosting and DJing weddings for a little over 10 years now between FL and the Caribbean and I love it (still in my 20's). I would more consider myself a Hype Man/Party Motivator, I pack a punch like no other even I'm impressed with my skills sometimes. Any update on the Avantes? Everything else I want is out of stock and I'm pretty upset. Thinking about getting the Avantes as a last resort. I trust your word over some other channels since you actually used it on a gig.

Hi Ricky. Congratulations. I've been following you for the last months and I have to say: you are doing great! But if you don't mind me saying i think you should have brought one more par or the washfx2 to put in the dance floor. It's a small venue but the middle was really dark. It could be the camera but it looked like a lack of light there...
I'dike to ask you 4 things:
- you mentioned in a comment this wedding was way over 2k. Would you break down the price?
- I bought an equinox gobo projector but I'm thinking about going digital and using png and projectors. What do you think about this?
- why do you have the laptop with chauvet and airstreamdmx? Couldn't you just use one system only?
- any chance of uploading a wedding set list like you did for the prom?

Not gonna breakdown the price as each is custom to that client and I rather not have other clients contest there price based on seeing what I charged others.
Projector is the way to go with png files like I am doing.
I am not using adj dmx here. That is just a adj wifly transmitter. It's not the adj dmx bridge which is the software controller. I am only running show Express. And show Express more than trump's using adjs ipad program

I noticed that when you went to set up your speaker stands you didn’t spread out the legs enough, I recommend you spread them out slightly more to increase surface area. Ps you camera quality looked slightly better than normal, did you get a new camera?
That's actually how these stands are designed the cross members never get to parallel. It's weird but they are solid.

Because I had not seen any gig logs where you or Barr had used the new Prime 4 it helped me decide that I should stick with Pioneer and as such I have gone for an RX2 😎🎧👍🏻
@@RealLifeDJ it more along the line of we get a new controller right at the start of busy wedding season. Trying to find time to get used to it when DJing everyweek is not practical. Thus why it prob wont go out.

@@jpgion18 yep. It was a little low end add around 80 to 100 hz. Cut out some harsh mids around 1k to 2k. Then add a little on the highs 5.5k to 20k.

Right but price doesn't dictate a packed dance floor. This wedding was well over $2k. People pay based on the experience you bring.
DJ Rick Web is around $2000 in that area somewhat close to the going rate in that area (ceremony and monogram included)? It would be a tough sell for me in SW MIchigan.
Sam Murray $2K would be middle of the road for me. It seemed the pricing structure was right for the setup in this venue. A good DJ with nice Equipment will get that all day in pretty much any area
