    Honestly, the two things that annoy me the most is that the TITANIC Boulderclub only does 2 damage and that they still have not merged the Mancrushers' 'Eadbutt and Mighty Kick profiles into a single weapon profile with 2 attacks. Otherweise, the army looks fine to me.
    I have a SoB army and I actually think that the control score reduction after 15 wounds is fine and fair. There are a couple elements that make Megas with 20 control really good in 4.0. Like the smaller objective size, no more triple reinforcing units, fewer mortal wounds, less average damage output... So giving the opponent the opportunity to reduce that to a more manageable 10 and try to take the objective that way seems fair. I am not a dedicated tournament player though. Maybe the SoB pros feel differently about this?

    Doing great brother. Appreciate the work you and (Jonas? Yoh nas?) are doing. I'm more of a painting/lore hobbyist, but I wanted to start dabbling into actually playing so it's great to hear perspectives from players who understand the intricacies of tournament play.

      Ryan's amazing at what he does. I love how his analytic mind takes apart a warscroll. Thanks for the compliment! Really appreciate it and it offsets some of the negativity in the comments from time to time.

    thank you for doing these videos but especially this one as I'm starting a project for Gargants so it's interesting to hear the changes although I've not played AOS before, so they look good to me but that's mainly down to them not being small fiddly miniatures my ageing peepers can't see properly 😂😂😂😂

    gargants are fucking done with this

      I feel you, Jacob. On the surface of things it’s not looking great, but then again, 4th is gonna be a pretty different game to what we’re used to. So I’d def say give them a shot once the dust settles! They’ve had their ups and downs in 3rd as well, but hopefully GW figures out how to balance them sooner than later.

      I am just coming from a discussion where several players claimed that SoB will be busted in 4.0 if they can still take 4 Megas at 2000 points. :D
      Personally, I think they will be fine. Neither too good nor too weak.

    Stormcast hammers do as much damage as the Warstomper club

    • @strategoi
      @strategoi  Před 25 dny

      It's always been weird to convert the damage from these huge guys into a profile. If you'd wanna go them right, the stats would probably be too skewed to balance the game around them? I don't know. I do agree it always feels a little weird.
      Then again: think not only about the size of the hammer, but stormcast hammers are probably super magical and are thus more effective? Or something like that 🤷‍♂️

      @@strategoi I don’t know anything about game design and development but the damage should have been better because Mega Gargants are suppose to be gigantic monsters whom are the size of fortresses.
      I was expecting silly damage like D6+3 with 2-3 attacks maximum.

    maybe the warstomper is much cheaper in points?

    • @ryanburruss
      @ryanburruss Před 24 dny

      Yeah, it goes without saying for all of these Faction Focuses that we don’t know where the points will fall with each warscroll. GW is actively trying to diversify the roles of formerly similar units, so I could totally see a world where one of the Mega’s becomes a Medium, so to speak.

    I dont think the warstomper is so bad. Many units are infantry and against just a 10man infantry unit (so 8 Attacks) the warstomper does (compared to gatebreaker)
    - more dmg against 2+ and 3+ saves
    - same dmg against 4+ save
    - less dmg against 5+ and 6+
    So he will be really killy against units upward of 10 i think.
