I mean like iPhone resell value is so good holding it for too long is literally just you missing out...I would hold for 3 model cycle to see a huge differences. However looking at the iPhone X to IPhone 12 there’s so minimal difference

I chose the 11 over the 12 I much prefer the rounded edges and 5G won’t make much of a difference to me at all and there really not a reason to upgrade if you have the 11

Having gone from the 11 to 12, I’m not as impressed by oled as I thought I would be. For HDR it looks amazing, but for everything else it’s like maybe 10% better. There’s something about Apple led screens that still looks amazing.

True blacks and contrast make all the difference. OLED FTW. I got my 12 recently. It’s the first AMOLED phone I’ve had since my galaxy S5. :D

I actually upgraded to iPhone 12 from my iPhone X after using it for 3 yr.
X was actually more expensive when I bought it at launch in 2017 for 64gb model and I got 12 128gb for a bit cheaper in 2020 despite 12 being overall a better device than X in all aspects.
This goes to show, as technology matures/advances, it becomes cheaper too, like X was a fundamental change to iPhones back then, so it was expensive but now even a better iPhone than it can be had for less money.
And I sold my X for $400 still, and so far loving the 12 (especially cameras & battery life is waaay better).
I never liked XR or 11 due to the bad display, X had really spoiled me, so I waited and 12 seems like the best upgrade.
Hopefully it’ll serve me well for at least 3 years to come, like my X did. 😄
Yeah that’s true, remember 11 pro last year only it was $1000 and now even the $800 iPhone 12 this yr is better than the pro model from last yr.
crazy how fast tech evolves and last year’s products become obsolete so quickly.
i think they push the price up every now and again so they can subsequently reduce it and make it seem like a more affordable price even tho it isn't

That exactly happened to me hahaha I bought it when it came out in 2017 but I didn't have the need to upgrade my X because it was pretty good phone even against the XS or 11 (better. but now after 3 years the battery is pretty weak and got a little of water by accident but not damage at all.
I sold it for $400 too but I upgraded to the 12 Pro model (its the same price of the x in that year) because my thought its to keep it 3 years like the X haha.

I’ve been using my 12 for almost a month now and it’s not really noticeable in person, you can see it more in the video than you really would in person.

2:41 u can see flickering in the OLED display of the iPhone 12, which everyone must take note of. It's just one of the caveats of having an OLED display. If you have sensitive eyes or epilepsy, it's better to stay away from the iPhone 12 until it's fixed.

@@giftn9531 to be honest there's not much difference between the two. If you want an oled screen then go for the 12, but if you want to save a bit then go for the 11 since it's cheaper than the 12.

I've seen both the 11 and 12, and can easily notice the quality of display and difference in ppi on the 12. It is way superior compared to the 11. If you are someone making a purchase decision between the 11 and 12, go buy the 12... it is a no brainer. If you already have an 11, wait it out and maybe next year, the 13 will have a high refresh display justifying the upgrade!
You only see the differences when you have both phones however

@@mr25cent yeah,I bought 11 last month..I am not stupid to spend 150-200€ more..at the end of the day it is just a phone I never wanted to spend a fortune.I have used both phones of course the newer is the best but the differences aren’t that big and you only see them if you have both phones in your hand..

It’s not a software or recording thing. It’s a result of the OLED technology Apple uses in the iPhone 12 screen. It’s almost non noticeable just using the device at a high brightness as usual, but once you lower your brightness and record your screen (it’s an experiment you can try for yourself if you have the 12) you’ll see the flickering. A lot of people don’t talk about this, but prolonged exposure can potentially cause headaches. I say POTENTIALLY because I am not a medical professional and this is only my knowledge lol.

With the price drop of the iPhone 11, it makes it a lot more compelling to grab and I'd recommend it over the iPhone 12. I didn't touch on 5G as it really depends on the area you are in as well!
PS. The camera samples, the biggest difference I found was in the low light shots. The 12 was far better and had way less grain (not worth the $200 difference IMO)

I think people will notice the difference in display quality. Its not a huge difference but if you watch a lot of CZcams/Netflix it is an enjoyable upgrade
I agree because you can wait it out since 5g is still not mainstream. Right now 5g ready is pointless.
OK with you but still, whenever you end up with a really crappy night shot, it tends to drive you mad (or stupid 😂😂😂). Hence the 12 all the way for me (well at the moment, where I live, you’re quarantined so no night shots but one day, maybe 🤔)
I’d still go with a 12 justice because of that display and the advancements of the 11

Upgrading 1 to 2 model years behind the current model, a lot of money can be saved. Also realize that upgrade will be a new experience for you. My wife and I just upgraded from the 6S Plus to the 11.
Why does everyone forget about the Qualcomm modem in the 12? On LTE it is much faster. 11’s have the intel modem which is not nearly as good. So another thing in favor of the 12. Also the 12’s modem has better signal strength for cellular calls.
So true, it’s one of the biggest upgrade to iPhones since like years. Android flagships were so much ahead in this aspect, especially samsung, but now 12 series has waaaay better cellular modems and speed than any iPhone before. Sad that even Karl overlooked this crucial point
I didn't want to talk about 5G or even LTE connectivity since it is soooo different depending on your region. I was up in Northern Ontario (Canada lol) testing the 12 for the first week and was barely even getting 3G let alone service

I think the environmental aspect Apple is taking here is a great thing, but I also think if they would have kept the same USB - A to lightning cable in the box I don't think it would be as big of an issue, the changing of the cable from USB - A to USB - C and not including a charger just does not make a whole lot of sense to me.
I use the 11 and got the 12. The first moment.. not big deal... but then I used the HDR video + FCPX... dude! it's so GOOD!. That got me. I'm going to upload more night videos to my channel after this. I'm really happy.

@@hipstillhop hi! So I would say if you can afford go for the 12 cause the idea is to have the phone for several years and if so, you’ll have great camera setup, better screen and 5G.

one more thing, the lte.. iphone 12 is twice better than iphone 11.. so you will still have signal at the low signal place.. this shows 12 more future proof

Only thing I would say is that the 12 just feels better to hold because it’s slightly smaller and lighter. Also an additional year of upgrades and 5G future proofing makes the decision between the two tougher. I went with the 12

@@priyachauhan632 I would definitely recommend the 11 but I can’t compare to the 12 because I’ve never actually seen one in person. But as I said the 11 is a great phone and I’d definitely recommend it! It’s also quite a bit cheaper than the 12 which is why I got it 😁

With the release of the 12. The SE 2020,XR,XS,and X have gotten significantly cheaper on the used market. I caught an AT&T locked iPhone XR in excellent condition for $324 after tax. Amazon Renewed has some good deals too if you don’t want to research the Used market for a specific deal. Tbh, I might get a 12 in a few years once it’s considered “old” 😂

I feel like the differences are minimal. The thing that makes me want to /mightbegrabbingonenow from the 11 to the 12. Is the 5g and the new screen. The new screen is amazing. It uses 50% less blue light it's better imagery. My iPhone 11 was never bright enough and too reflective whenever I was out. Even having it in shade sometimes I can't even see the screen. I managed to get the upgrade hopefully free got a good price on a 12 and I'm selling my 11 which I know I can sell easily. Feel like they could have upgraded the camera ever since the XR the cameras really haven't gotten better. But I suppose there is no need they are in the top # with best cameras for phones. But if the upgrade is gonna cost you more than say $200-$300 don't worry about it new iPhone will be coming out and price will drop then for the 12.

I was using iPhone 11 and switched to 12. I feel the biggest upgrade is the screen. I’m a person who watches more content on prime and Netflix. On 11 I didn’t find the quality of the video to be great but switching to 12 omg it’s lot better. 12 despite being smaller battery than 11 I’m still getting 1 hour extra screen on time on my iPhone 12

I like how the 11 looks compared to 12 but I guess to function, the 12 had to adapt a different style.
Truth about the chargers. I have lightning cables and I recently got air pods. It charges with the USB-C box thing which I don’t have so I have a useless USB-C cord. I know you showed the wireless charger in another video but that thing never fails to amaze me haha 😯
