Here today, we will be doing a mod guide and installation of the Orange Mod Works Unleashed Solid Stage 1 and Stage 2 kits for the Nerf N-Strike Elite Longshot! Spring and plunger are too strong for those light darts they don’t even fly straight. Looks great.

what darts do you use? i use the orange Elite with the black tips they seem to jam
Elite darts are trash. If you use official Nerf darts, it should always be the AccuStrike darts. A lot of these cheap knockoff darts are not good, you have to know which ones to use. Some are okay in springers, but will jam a flywheel blaster. I should do a video maybe
I hope the removal of that AR doesn't break the plunger cilinder.
dry fires happens more often then you think.
you might want to put some padding on the plunger head.
After the video I did end up going back in and padding the plunger head a little bit

Hello, first of all, thank you very much because I was very confused in the other videos I watched, but I understood how to do this in your video. But I have few questions
1. How long was the range before the modification and how long is it now?
2. If I use a stronger spring instead of the spring that comes out of the package after placing the parts on the gun, will the gun break?
3. Where can I buy orange mod work kits?
4.Will I buy the pump grip separately or is it in one of the package of orange mod work kits
I hope you will answer.
1. No idea about the mod, but the stock range is about 14 meters without the attachment.
2. Depends on the spring, probably won’t.
3-4 no idea
Hello! I know this response is late, but I'll give it a go. This is just off the top of my head, but
1. The range was about 35 feet and now it's 65 plus.
2. Stronger springs are no problem, but sometimes the bolt sled will crack. So you might have to get an even stronger sled.

If I just drill a bigger hole in the air restrictor, would it be the same effectiveness?
I think if you use a big enough drill bit, the whole air restrictor will fall out just like in my video.
the longshot was waaaay better than the longstrike
Heck yeah! lol -- but as a "sniper rifle," the Longstrike had much better aesthetics....

I think they sent it to me, but I can't remember ... the kits were about $20 to $40 for each kit. If you can't find it on their website, www.orangemodworks.com/?Click=17264 , it's probably sold out.

Can you remove the AR and mag lock without any reinforcements?
Yes. You only really need reinforcements when you go past a certain spring power

I'm planning on getting on getting a longshot soon, and I'm thinking of trying to mod it. but I have no experience and I just want a simple modification that gives it a range of 75 ft or more. any ideas?

I think you could probably just save your money. Stage 1 should be fine.

I'm still debating between which pump grip I should get...Longshot...or Retaliator...
they both help drastically... base your decision on which blaster you like best, or... do like me and get both! lol
I actually like the ergonomics of the Retaliator a bit more but the Longshot is legendary.
I would personally rather the retaliator. just because of the REALLY nice paint schemes it has.
agreed! Retaliator ergonomics are superior, but only because the Longshot stock is a little too short for me... Simple solution is to put a Longshot plunger tube in a Retaliator and call it a day. lol
LittleBig, I think they both have great paint schemes, but... you can always paint them yourself too. Don't limit yourself based on stock configurations!

Can someone tell me what the lock actually does
usually on a Nerf blaster, the locks are there to prevent you from doing something which might be dangerous to you or harmful to the blaster -- but if you know what you're doing, they're only a nuisance. they prevent you from clearing jams and they make the blaster more clunky when in operation

is stage 2 necessary? will it improve alot on range ?
can I just get spring only ? stage 1 other stuff is just seems not really useful
depending on the spring load, you can just get the spring -- however, some of these weaker pieces may break under the heavier load. You almost always need a stronger catch spring... so at the very least buy Stage 1. Stage 2 is not totally necessary, especially with the spring that's included with the OMW kit. If you get stronger springs, you're probably going to want to buy a stronger bolt sled or some kind of reinforcement for it....

It is just the stage one kit. Stage two has the "reinforced" bolt sled. It is just plastic. And the same mold as nerf. But you might want to install every thing in the stage one kit
Don't buy the stage 2, the plastic is the same strength as the original plastic. And the metal trigger is not good, coop772's review was very negative towards the stage 2... and does not aid in performance...

thanks, bro! Yeah, it works with all Longshots. The only difference being that there would be an additional optional step if I used the older Longshots... the breech has an air hole in it on the older Longshot blasters, but for some reason this version didn't have it... sealing the little air hole with epoxy or hot glue will go a long way towards improving the air seal on those blasters. BUT, it's optional and you don't have to do it... the blaster will still be much more powerful after doing the other steps in this guide.

and also, my magazine release button is very tough, and it makes it difficult to release the magazine. Do you know how I could fix it and make it smooth?
could try adding some silicon grease? I don't know, I never had that problem... the Longshot mag release does leave a lot to be desired and I'm actually going to be looking into buying a 3rd party replacement mag release lever for my next Longshot mod
