Opening scene was awesome. Loving the style change!
Another great video. Had simular experience in fitting. TS3 launched lower and was great from a (low) tee but TS2 was so easy to hit straight off the ground. Dispersion hitting of the ground was also tighter with the TS2. Chose the TS2 because I hit a fairwaywood mostly off the ground and TS2 was so forgiving.
Update: after taking the TS2 to the course my opinion has changed. On trackman I already had my doubts about the backspin and the height of the TS2 and on the course the TS2 was much shorter than the TS3 demo I had with me two days before because of the higher backspin and steeper angle of decent. I had the TS3 demo again with me for 9 holes today and it was substantial longer. Luckily I am allowed to change the club within 60 days😅. So numbers inside are not always giving the same results on the course. The TS2 is very easy to launch but for me with too much backspin. Could be an option when going down to 13.5 loft...but also like the looks of the TS3 better. So I think I change to TS3. But both great clubs👍🏽
Have played Titleist drivers for many years but this is the first year I've truly felt comfortable with one of their fairways vs my trusty TM Burner. Swapped to the TS2 earlier this year and really like it. Recently got a TS2 19* hybrid to replace my old 5 wood as well. So I'm all Titleist in the long end.
I like the format. I missed the ‘live’ commentary and banter during the testing like the earlier videos. I like the previous intro music better than this tweak... and seeing Ian on the left and Matt on the right in the beginning confused the hell out of me!
I totally agree, the 'live ish' commentary and banter like the earlier videos is what I prefer!
I’m a big fan of these longer videos with your reaction while testing. I think they are far more sticky and memorable. They also create your biggest fans. Shorter vids might scale better to a wider audience but they don’t connect the same way. Just a fans perspective! Great job again
Love the personal and detailed feel to this video. TXG getting back to their strengths to differentiate themselves from every other golf channel on youtube!
The attention to details, the analysis, the procedure. Just watch ANY of the videos and you could learn a whole bunch of information and knowledge about the game. Maybe a book release coming soon? Great stuffs
You boys should do a review like this again. Love talking shop at the glass table. Still playing my ts3 16.5 but now with a tensi av proto 2.0 85g. Thing is money !
Really good video showing the difference off the ground and off the tea between the TS2 and TS3 the difference in hight was a huge surprise....

Great new format. Matt looks a lot more comfortable. I've been playing the 913 13.5 Fairway for years and haven't found anything better, but I may have to check out the TS3.

Great video guys, loving the new intro and the chat at the beginning. Like others I have been missing the feedback during the testing. I find you get a much better sense of how the club performs and it's nuances with that feedback. Great stuff!

Tested the TS2 16.5 this morning and I couldn't believe the ball speed. I was seeing a smash factor of 1.50 (Trackman), which I can't remember ever seeing from a fairway wood before now. Heck, my driver (G400 Max) will give me 1.52 from a good hit, 1.53 if I really really button it. I have never been comfortable with a 3-wood, even back when my index was in + territory. Recently I have been absolutely terrible, but this one behaved strikingly similar to my 3-hybrid. There was a great deal more forgiveness than the 917F2 previously in my bag. Bought it on the spot :-)
Was just fitted for the ts3 with a S Drago 75 04 shaft. The new ts fairway line is the best feeling woods I have ever hit!

Like this format the best of trying clubs as your talking about plus and minus of each club, trying out Titleist 3 woods with Titleist rep tomorrow at club the 2 looks like it's for me and can always deloft on windy day I guess

Guys, great new production and music! Love it. Really nice review too, looking forward to having a bash with both driver and fairways. One question - with TS3 head, can the CG location be adjusted a little further back with Surefit CG cartridge to slightly add to launch as well as heel/toe for changing shape?
the cartridge is just for toe and heel CG movement unfortunately, not front to back

Tried ts2 fairway wood and it feels so good off face nice and high off ground felt good with hazidus shaft faster off cobra f7 face probably get it was planning to get one
Just got a (barely) used TS2 with Hzrdus smoke black shaft. Talk about a fairway striper! Point and shoot.
I appreciate this comparison. I have old ping eye 2 woods. I'm looking to upgrade.

This was the larger head but the low spin version and they dropped it in 15 & 17 for some strange reason...
Glad to see the larger head back with the lower launch & spin (TS3) option.
I would like to see the comparison with the 913Fd.

Summary: purchase a 13.5 degree TS3 strong driving 3-metal and a higher flying 17 degree TS2 off the fairway club. That combo is probably in a lot of Pro bags already.
I couldn’t agree more. I have the 913fD 13.5* and the 913 17* in my bag and it’s going to take a lot to change this out.
You can go back and include the 975F... those were great clubs too!

Another great review guys! When fitting, do you see most fit consistently Ts2/Ts3 amongst driver to wood? Or is it not unusual to see TS2 driver and TS3 wood or vice versa?

I’ve been having trouble with 3W off the deck so I’m not sure I would love the deep face but it looks so good I have to try it!
TS2 is definitely easy to hit off the deck despite the appearance of the face depth

Just got TS2 fairway Sunday. I’m sure it must be illegal because I’m hitting straight and far.
Reflections from table glass. Irritating.
Brilliant test. Got a bit worried with the new format. Key "sales" point came shortly efter 24 min when you did the comparison tee vs ground and two different FWs but same flight.
As Matt stated - question is when and where you use you 3wood. Off tee or on ground approaching a par 5 green...

There will always be brand loyalty or at least branding preference among the top three or four. As a brand dabbler (in irons), I often curious about the Pepsi Challenge. How well do off brand or less market share brands perform in head to head challenges? Are you guys able to do this kind of comparison or does that ruffle arrangements with the big boys?
We are 100% brand neutral at our shop so everything is based on performance with no loyalty to one company or another. We're definitely planning in integrating more off-brand offerings into our testing on the channel soon, our goal is always to let you guys know which products perform best!
Ian, how much weight is in the hozzle adapter you use? how does this impact the swing weight of the club being used for fitting? Finally, how do you match the swing weight in the purchased club?
If the TS3 13.5 version is set to +1.5° will it be identical with the TS3 15° version or are there different heads between the 13.5°, 15°, 16.5° and 18° version?
I have heard really good things about the new srixzon 3 wood are you going to be reviewing them
perhaps to much of mirror effect of the glass table, to emphasize the club heads perhaps a layer under it?
Of course right after I ask the head speed question you put up a screen shot with club speed, ha-ha. Although I question a club speed of 122.7mph for a 3wd
That one was definitely a misread, doesn't happen that often but occasionally the Quad will not analyze the clubhead speed accurately. The average on this test was around 117mph
Even 117 is fast for a 3wd, Matt must be eating his Wheaties, ha-ha.
excellent review Just like the drivers I need to get fitted for this fairway wood but I don't know if the shafts should be the same in both?
Probably not Robert, we often fit customers to a different shaft in the 3 wood as generally a bit of a softer tip profile is more suitable in that club versus the driver

Tour edge Cbx T3 the best fairway on the market and possibly in a very long time. Hope you get to test it
Do you know if they will be drawing on the ts technology and approach for new hybrids and I assume these would be released next year?
Not 100% sure but it would certainly be a good move in our opinion, these fairways are very good performers

Could you ask Ian about this shaft question please, 83mph on trackman with 7 iron, what shaft would be best to fix a hook? I swing from the inside around 5 degrees

Ian- have you noticed that after the new FSX software update the impact location readings are a bit off?
Generally seems to be fine, although it was certainly acting up during this test! Have you noticed issues in your recent experience Leo?
TXG Tour Experience Golf yes I’ve updated to the latest FSX, and noticed the impact locations are much more extreme than before. If I hit slightly high on the face the impact location dot on the screen will be way up on the edge of the face for example.
Interesting, possibly a change in the way the face graphic is being displayed. Are the millimeter readings relative to center consistent though?
yes, millimetre readings seem accurate...so probably just graphic...

I'm curious to know why yo never show club head speed when you're testing 3wds? Are these 3wds standard lengths-43"?
yes finished length was 43"
