This is the only 2600 that I'm going to destroy.
The Atari 2600 was the very first video game console that I ever played in my life. IMO, the Atari 2600 still holds up as a classic game console with many of the games still fun to play to this day. Having said that, I couldn't refrain from sacrificing one console and a few games to have a little destructive fun. I hope you don't take this video to seriously. But if you must, get your dislikes and hate comments out of the way. - Věda a technologie

This one is probably the most common of all the versions of the console.

Say you tried Air Raid and it is the shittiest game and you've never even heard of it before, say it wasn't worth the 0.25 you paid for it in a thrift shop, destroy it and watch the people go wild lol. Incase you don't know Air Raid for Atari 2600 is worth over $30,000

Stop talking rubbish these games aren't worth anything, I brought a second hand atari 2600 in the 90's for only £50 and it had nearly 100 games catridges including air raid. It's been sitting up in my loft ever since.
There were a lot of video games with pretty similar titles to Air Raid, like "Air Raiders" by Mattel and "River Raid" by Activision. Air Raid by Men-A-Vision is worth a lot of money. I don't think it deserves to be worth more than a brand new fully loaded Honda Accord but it is rare and in a perfectly fair world would still be worth thousands.
In the 90's they might not have known and/or Air Raid by Men-A-Vision may have been worth a lot less than it is now.

Here's what I don't understand.
People know this is going to be a video of an Atari 2600 being destroyed. If they don't like the sound of it, then why do they bother disliking this video and commenting on it?
the haunted house game looks like they riped the dead ghosts effect out of pacman and just threw it in there, and space wars looks like a ripoff off of asteroids, except with another ship and no asteroids

No, being serious, that was actually a great destruction vid! Watchin' your guys' vids in 2021 is a great pasttime for me and definitely worthwhile! To say that we're like old cousins or nieces and nephews getting together to watch two uncles or cousins destroy things for our entertainment is definitely worthwhile! Even though you guys may not see this comment, or anyone for that matter, I still want to thank you for making videos and evolving your channel through and through!

How did you record the tv footage?
I used a SD card recorder which digitally records from analog sources, but giving the atari only outputs a rf signal for video and audio, I had to use the tuner in a vcr to tune into the rf signal and then output it from the vcr to the recorder as a composite signal.
I used to repair them. It’s different seeing one get broken.

How did you record the game footage?
First off, I plugged the RF out of the Atari into a VCR to convert the RF signal into composite video and audio. Then I went from the line out of the VCR into a SD card recorder which digitally records from analog sources.

Streamlined Steamroller I know. I actually dragged all of the recording equipment outside in an attempt to record the game footage as it was run over. The problem was I forgot to bring the AV cable for my portable DVD player which I planed on using to monitor the recording. I could not find a substitute cable to use so I decided to go ahead and record it blindly hoping that the game would fire up correctly. Sure enough, the game cartridge was not making good contact into the 2600 and it didn't fire up.
