DIY Musical fire table | how to make a rubens tube

In this video, I show you how to make standing fire waves that are controlled by music. All you need is a soda bottle and a lighter. I hope you enjoy this video.
What's a Ruben's tube?
A Rubens' tube is an antique physics instrument for demonstrating acoustic standing waves in a tube.
Invented by German physicist Heinrich Rubens in 1905, it shows the relationship between sound waves and sound pressure, as a primitive oscilloscope.
Rubens' Tube is an awesome demo and here we take it to the next level

Isn't it dangerous to use a regular ballon to seal the can? Can it withstand the pressure and the heat?

Good question. It’s normal to use latex, so the balloon is just fine. I’ve made a few of these - physics teacher.
