Had me at "David Fincher".
Hells yeah! David Fincher is a genius!
Don't forget screenwriter Andrew Kevin Walker who wrote Seven (1995), a Fincher movie and apparently he served as script doctor for two other Fincher movies, F**** C*** and The Game so it's definitely another interesting collaboration between them
Honestly looks a bit generic considering his other shit
Idiot...leo is coming in October..it is way better than this shit movie...no one can clash with leo
Had me at Michael Fassbender
This is a real trailer. Mysterious and vague but still grabs your attention. Not those trailers that show the whole plot. Thank you
Its not a trailer bro. Its a "teaser trailer" teasers are always vague.
People really hate reading
The guy is contracted killer, always followd plan strictly. But one time he deviates from it , and mission gets complicated.
That's what this trailer tells you.
Teasers are my kind of trailers!
Hear hear!
Fassbender's portrayal of a calculated, exacting killer is exactly what I wanted for Agent 47's character in the Hitman film. This movie is incredible; hoping for a sequel and a prequel

David Fincher’s movies always take so long to come out, but they always ARE so worth the wait. Trailer looks amazing as usual
Honestly looks a bit generic considering his other shit
Fincher is notorious for tons of take for a simple scene. I'm guessing Fassbender riding a motorcycle can take him like 70 takes to do 😂
@@cinder7258Generic doesn’t automatically mean “bad” IMO. The John wick movies are generic plot-wise, but they’re great because everything is well done.
didn't he release Mank 3 years ago that wasn't so long, it's like the average for filmmakers to make a movie every 3years. Movie take that much to make that's it
@@cinder7258 I mean its a teaser so there maybe more than meets tje eye
Finally! love seeing Fassbender getting good roles again
Yeah thank god he didn't quit acting altogether. Now he got three movies releasing this year.
💯
Long time since Assassin creed 😅
Was he on hiatus or something?
@@betatest5789 yes he got into professional racing since 2017 and took a break from acting
Fincher is a master. His camera work is meticulous. Se7en is decades old now and I use it in my film class with seniors in high school. They are blown away. The violence doesn’t need to be in your face. Fincher knows what to show and his lighting is perfect. Many actors cannot work with him. Does countless takes. Made the founding of Facebook interesting with The Social Network. Excited to see this new film.
This is what we call perfection. David fincher shoots every scenes with very fine details like his previous works.
The thing I've always loved about David Fincher is that he came up thru music videos so he developed a really strong visual style, but he's never sacrificed character development/acting for the sake of *how* the film looks. He gets SUPERB performances from his cast while still crafting some of the most gorgeous films you'll ever see. Even when the subject matter is dark.
Never knew that about him. Any music videos you know of?
Thanks for sharing!

If there's one thing I've learned as a cinephile, it's that you can always count on David Fincher to provide a dynamite trailer for his movies.
Verdade
Telling others yourself as a cinephile is the most Cringest thing
Well the film unfortunately sucked, it was very very boring and the acting was tedious.
Thought the trailer was shit
@@nothingsurprisesmeanymoreI liked it cause I liked Hitman and this movie is the Hitman movie I never got
This trailer feels so violent, and yet the amount of actual violence in it isn't nearly as much as it seems. The music and the editing make it violent. Fincher is an expert at that.
Ah the music! The music is the reason I'll be watching this! Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are geniuses!!
Unfortunately it sucks, very boring with tedious acting. What is wrong with Netflix?
@@nothingsurprisesmeanymore I get how certain people could view the film as boring, but I've never heard acting described as "tedious" before. What do you mean?
@@nothingsurprisesmeanymore Well, that stinks.
It’s boring and waaaaaaay too much talking …slow scenes just never again
You can clearly identify David Fincher's movies just from the color grading.
Imagine a John Wick movie directed by Fincher. And remember that he was supposed to direct a World War Z sequel that got cancelled, now imagine that with the color grading of Fincher esq
And the Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross soundtrack
pale yellow
Sometimes I wish you couldn't.
There's something great about dark movies with a high depth of field and focused light.
Villeneuve and Nolan frequently do that too and that's why I love their movies.
This looks BADASS. Michael Fassbender as an assassin with a conscience couldn't be any cooler. Fincher is back.
The fassbend is always solid. such a charismatic actor, hard to get your eyes off him when he is on a scene.
I miss this man, underrated actor
Well, irrespective of how the movie turns out, that was a bad-ass trailer. "Stick. To. The. Plan."

Forget about empathy lol!
I know, it's damn near unbelievable! 🤣🤣
This. Is. The. Way.
it IS. My only regret is that it's less than 2 hrs long. A movie like this should be no less than 2 & a half hrs.
A David Fincher movie with Micheal Fassbender in it? TAKE MY MONEY!
With Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross' music. Can't forget that.
Fincher should have casted Justin Bieber for the main role not Fassbender
And Whoopi Goldberg
You and me both buddy
@@thatswhatithought6519 Your trolling is really bad.
My appreciation of Fassbender’s acting chops goes all the way to Eden Lake which had him in a role completely opposite of this. This looks promising, especially with Fincher involved.
This movie received a 5 minute standing ovation at the Venice Festival yesterday. NO wonder its gonna be great!
The fact that Fincher has finally reunited with Andrew Kevin Walker - the writer of 'Seven' - has given me full body chills.
Walker did re-writes on Fight Club, The Game and wrote Fincher's Love Death & Robots episode 'Bad Travelling'.
@@HorySmokes Indeed he did! It's a shame Fincher never directed 8MM also. Seven, 8MM, and The Killer - this would've been a heavenly brutal trilogy.

Gary Oldman is the master of that. I've watched whole movies and at the end thought "wait, that was Gary Oldman?" That's acting.
@@aluisiousGary Oldman is THE GOD of acting! Many great incredible actors are there for sure! But Gary is on another level. The way he changes his voice completely not only accent is incredible.

Ges really talented just hasn’t been in Manny super successful films.
For example David from prometheus is such an amazing character and he adds so much to his character

Movie had one of the best fight scenes I’ve seen in a movie between The Killer and “Brute” … it was brutal!

Shit even Frank ruled and you only see his face for one scene
I too enjoy his human face.
Very true. I've always thought the same thing.
0:43 Wow, Michael Fassbender's such a great actor that he played all of those actors.
this is what I call a modern trailer, well done.
They had me at David Fincher and hooked me solid at Fassbender ❤️ Great trailer too!
The comic book for this is probably what I could describe as one of the greatest geopolitical thrillers and commentaries I’ve ever read and to see it finally adapted into a movie directed by David Fincher and starring Michael Fassbender is nothing short of glorious. David Fincher is one of my all time favorite directors. His thrillers dont usually get Oscar buzz (Dragon Tattoo and Gone Girl both Best Actress nominated though). Lets hope The Killer is his first thriller to be nominated for Best Picture and fourth film overall to be picture nod (Benjamin Button, Social Network and Mank were his first three).
I mean, The Social Network was frontrunner at the Oscars in 2011

I don't care about the Oscars. Today that award is worth nothing. Fincher is bigger than the Oscar.
@@Largentina. Social Network was styled kind of like a thriller but it was way overrated. It was a typical Sorkin screenplay, superficial, overwrought and speechy. For a concept of huge importance like that of Social Network not to be substantive is a bit of a crime.

Netflix has really won the jackpot by getting Fincher direct and produce for them. Love D&R, Mank and now this! He is an S-Tier filmmaker.
I think Fincher knows that at least 1 of Fassbender's 2 oscar nominations should've followed through to a win back in 2014 and 16.

Michael Fassbender has been wasted in some movies in the past few years. This looks like an incredible comeback for him in a great movie since 2015's Steve Jobs especially by the fact that this is a David Fincher movie. Always wanted to see Fassbender in a Fincher movie so yeah good for him 👍

This should be a worldwide release in theaters.
Such a 90’s style wow. Impressed
Now this looks to be something special by David Fincher. Like The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo meets Hitman meets Le Samourai/The American with a touch of Fincher’s more raw style.
