Understandable with having 12 and 13 lb cores. ALL companies do it this way and that's why if you want a specific-type of a core in a ball; you must learn how to throw 14 pound and up. I am now going with the 15 pound lineup because I'm being heavily talked into it and it is working. I do noticed a major knockdown-force from a 14 to a 16, but old-timers will tell you that you don't need the 16 compared to 2 decades ago. I'm taking this from a guy who was top-3 in a league at my local alley and he isn't doing it by accident.

Thank you very much. You have answered my biggest question that I’ve had lately on bowling balls. I guess I will order me a radical conspiracy in a 14 pound.

How does usbc suspending the coefficient of restitution specs for balls change the design of covers and cores now?

Based on what you said.. it seems like 14 - 16lb balls could skip the dynamicore, and you could use that in the lighter balls. Nothing is better than thick shell balls! They hit so much better, they are more durable and they can absorb more oil before they need a detox. We need at least one of the brunswick brands focusing on thicker shell balls. I would rather pay a premium price for a premium product. I'm not paying top dollar for filler material. I understand the reasoning for it, but the way it's used is wrong! Imo..

This video makes absolutely no sense. There is no reason you cannot use the generic Brunswick asymmetrical core in a Radical "top shelf" offering. The other brands of Brunswick offer lighter weights in their "top shelf" balls. Guess i will just stick to Brunswick/DV8/Hammer/Columbia/Track/Ebonite for my future purchases. Thanks for making my choices a little easier.

MOTIV has you all beat. I throw 13 pounds with their equipment and had my highest average in league last winter at a 219 with a high series at a 812.

They truly don’t…. It’s like this the big core would hook so quickly and take over the ball there would be no reason for a person who can’t handle the performance of the ball to throw it. No shade thrown just a fact it would not perform well for anyone who is slower speed players period because it would wanna hook and stop hooking over it reached the pins leading to many many what can be seen as light hits. A lighter core would get the ball down the lane much cleaner and still give it that angle to actually go through the pins properly.
