I think 2d6 are always better than 1d10. The probability of one die going low as 1 or 2 is higher, than two dices both going down to 1 and 2. The average of hitting mid to high damage goes up. Stealth is actually good to hit the first shot(s) without opening up a full battle. I do that by changing formation after the first shots and then withdraw the ranger to the back, while the group closes in on the enemy's, with my tank leading the charge.
I would pick Fey -> Humans -> Undead and then whatever you want for Favored Enemies. The one you pick first is the one that amps up the most, and you'll want Fey high because... It's Kingmaker! c:
I don't know if you've done this yet, but it might be cool showcasing a STR based two weapon fighting Ranger. Can totally bypass the dex prerequisite for the original feats I think. The hardest part for me is dreaming up the best weapon combo for dual wielders
How do you feel about the feat Clustered Shots? I'm new to D&D / Pathfinder's system, so I'm not confident in thinking it's good, but it appears good with my limited knowledge. At level 7 I'm beginning to run into quite a few enemies with high DR and that seems like a lifesaver..
I think it is pretty good too, however I often take some other feats before it. I tend to concentrate on feats that are going to increase my damage overall rather than just by-passing damage reduction. I think you also can take Hammer the Gap at about the same time and I tend to take it first. Hammer the Gap increases the damage for each shot in the same round at the same target so if you are going to have 3 attacks in a round all at the same target, assuming they all hit, the first will do normal damage, the second will do +1 damage and the 3rd will do +2 damage etc. Then if I take Clustered Shots after that I am doing more damage before the damage reduction But in some ways it is personal preference. If you are finding more opponents with damage reduction then take Clustered Shots first and then Hammer the Gap
@@rangertony Thank you for the response! I don't seem to lack doing damage at the moment, except when I do run into high DR opponents (like the treant enemies). I didn't realize Hammer the Gap worked for ranged attacks too, I need to look into that a bit further! It's rough when there are so many good choices! I'm used to having to take fairly blah choices as prerequisites so far
I like your builds I like how you talk about modifying your builds. what do you think of the other archer characters. Like slayer archer , fighter archer and such?
You have a very clear manner of presenting things. Subbed.
To the point, I love it.

2d6 are purely better than 1d12, so they are significantly better than 1d10
Who better to make a Ranger build than RangerTony.
I mean, Instant Enemy is amazing, especially if you super focus on a single enemy type, but that is super late

That video is coming out today
Harsk and his large badger animal companion
Does Boon Companion help catch your Animal Companion up for Ranger?
Yes it does. I mention that in another Ranger build video coming out soon

I have another video that compares different archer types. I am not big on Slayers but the best archer is probably Eldritch Archer (Magus)
Thanks for the reply.
Thinking of doing a sacred Hunstmaster Archer. How would you build him? I am brand new to Pathfinder and played a monk in pillars.
I have a full ranged sacred hunts master build on my channel. Sorry not ready to link to it from my phone but search and you should find it
@@rangertony Thank you, Tony. I'm brand new to your channel and I'm loving it. Great content! Thanks for the reply.
What's better a archery ranger, or fighter archer
Really depends on what you mean by "best"
Archery fighter will do more damage individually, but Ranger can have animal companion
does freebooter buff stack with bard buff?
Try...arrowsong minstrel 10/EK 10
Is there a way to improve runspeed in battle?
Several spells do. I think Barbarians get a bonus to ground speed as they level up. Maybe even a FEAT that provides it.
