    Back in the Baldur's Gate 1 days, I used to have multiple rogues and just decimate with throwing knives, sneak attacks and short swords. Memories so fond, I remember them from 20 years ago vividly. I'm about to do my first play through of kingmaker and I'm going rogue. Good content bro.

    As a 'grey' gamer myself it's nice to see someone closer to my age doing these types of 'advice' videos for my favourite type of game. Keep it up :)

    Sickened enemy received -2 to attack, damage, saving throw etc etc. The Thug need to sneak attack an enemy before applying the brutal beating. The real power behind the Thug subclass is the ability to fear enemy when you succeed any persuasion check. This makes dazzling display an unlimited AOE fear.

      Do thugs get Cornugan Smash for free? They don't, I think. Still, Cornugan Smash on a Thug means that you have a chance on fearing them each time you hit. When they run away, you get an opportunity attack. Add Shatter defenses and they are flat-footed when you attack them while feared. Free sneak attack. Then take the feat for a free dazzling display on a kill and no one will be able to come close and harm you ever again.

      Sounds great. My only issue is I do not like fear as having enemies running all over the place is dangerous. You can run into more enemies chasing them down or just have your party split up when some chase and others do not.
      Apart from that sounds like a good strategy

      @@rangertony true. Without the Thug Archetype, they are just shaken, which still works for shatter defenses.

    Hello! I dont know if you mention in this video (i have a bit of bad hearing) but i like using rogues like how I do mainly in for example Dragon age Origins etc where i dont emphasise a lot of sneaking i just like the aspect of dual wielding and dealing a lot of damage while being on squisher side, not like total glass cannon. Is there any good build with rogue where i can do that? For example knife master?

    • @rangertony
      @rangertony  Před 4 lety +1

      Yes I would recommended knife master for that type of build.

  • @Soulgerman

    Tony, you should try a team/party of straight monks.

    • @rangertony
      @rangertony  Před 5 lety +1

      Thanks
      I have thought about that but frankly I have always been a little disappointed by Monks in previous games
      I am not sure why but whenever I try to play them they do not seem to be that enjoyable to me
      Just like there are other classes I generally do not enjoy playing like Cleric I guess
      I might play with it a bit off camera and see how it goes though, and if there is something interesting there I might do some videos on it

    Are there any advantage to play as Gnome or Halfing at all?

    • @rangertony
      @rangertony  Před 5 lety +1

      Gnomes and Halflings do have some advantages, they get various bonus to different things. Too many to quickly list here.
      I just feel that the weapon limitations mean that I would generally only used them for Spell Casters or Rogues, and in fact they are almost designed that way. Halflings are really designed to be Rogues and Gnomes are designed to be Spell Casters (either Wizard or Sorcerer primarily) They both also make good Kineticists
