Read “States’ Laws on Race and Color” by Pauli Murray. This book is a compilation of laws that have been passed in each state from the beginning of this country through the 20th century, which were created with the express intention of racial oppression. Each law cited is written out in its entirety and the implications and historic impacts are discussed for each one as well. The book is over 700 pages long. If this isn’t evidence of systemic oppression, what is? To be clear, this is not to say that the “whole entire system is against Black people”, but a lot of it definitely is.

Tim Scott handled this perfectly. He didn’t get angry, his tone was the same throughout the time he was there and he was very professional. Handled the cackling hens on the View very well.

I really am confused. This was a normal interview with normal questions. They gave Scott lots of time to respond and talk through his points and the interviewer tossed basic responses back. Senator Scott is a perfect example of that. He is not the only black American who has become successful and respected because of his ethics, attitude and hard work. My surgeon/gynecologist is retired now, but he is black and has won many awards for being a top doctor in the area. I put my entire trust with him because he has proved to be a great doctor and excellent surgeon. None of it was because of the color of his skin, only because he was a great doctor who actually cared for his patients. I am heartbroken he retired and hope to find a doctor that is up to par. I have stage 4 endometriosis, so it's very important I do find an exceptional gynecologist.

Lol there are many older generation women that stayed home and took care of house but the soaps were always on in my moms house, and my aunts when I was sick and she took care of me.
