Yes, exactly. When I was a young woman in the mid and late 1970s, I loved flying up to San Francisco from So Cal. The flights were really cheap back then and the city was great! I hadn’t visited it in a few decades, but then went there in 2012. It was still fairly nice then, but it was not the vibrant city it used to be. You could not pay me to visit there now.

My dad was on the LAPD from 1947 until he retired in 1977, so we often went into downtown LA. It was a nice city decades ago. I remember the freeways were clean of litter and nicely landscaped. But I also spent time with dad while he did his part time job of working theft prevention at a supermarket in Watts and then collecting stolen grocery carts for the same market. So I saw that part of LA in the 1960s. It was an experience! I worked in downtown LA myself in the mid 1970s. I enjoyed it and felt relatively safe there. I don’t think the same could be said now. I left the country for central Europe 11 years ago. For many reasons, I have no desire to go back to the US.
@SandraHof .... I used to go out to SF in the mid 70s when my career was starting as the company I was working for was HQ'D there. Would stay at the Stanford Court Hotel, dine at many of the finer restaurants like Greens, The Mandarin. Fournous Ovens, and had a blast after hours. It was a beautiful and classy city. Like you I wouldn't waste my time or money going there now.

We love Tyrus He always hits it out of the park. He’s on point all the time and it’s almost like he didn’t study for the test. He just knew the assignment. Most Americans don’t mind drag queens and are very accepting to all walks of life it’s our diversity that makes us stronger together. But when we allow for woke ideology to split us apart and weaken our own identities that’s when you invite dissension.

This is why my husband and I left Northern California in 2002, tried to leave sooner but go when you can. Five years later my daughter and her husband from LA followed and my son never came back from college. Since then six of my friends have left they are Northern California homes for four different states. My family still lives back there siblings but I haven’t been home for three years and don’t plan to go back soon. California hates businesses, they don’t call it attacks anymore on the businesses they just keep adding “fees” that’s their new name for skimming money from businesses. In 1990 my mom was sick and had to go to a experimental program in downtown San Francisco and I didn’t like the thought of her being all alone for six days so I’m by myself in my 40s stayed at a hotel downtown drove to and from the hospital every day I was there which was five full days And I stopped and went into fast food to get my meal to take it back to the hotel to eat at the end of the day and I never felt unsafe but now you couldn’t pay me 1 million bucks to do it. The Sacramento area has its homeless but nothing like San Francisco because the weathers better there in winter and summer and with nobody prosecuting anymore there’s nothing to stop these people from destroying the whole city and surroundings but they can’t help the people that are there paying taxes and being good and honest oh no San Francisco can’t stand honest people. oh that goes for Oakland and a lot of LA and Stockton and so on. The only place if you force me to live in California again would be northern northern California
