I've done the undercut thing twice, once on the side and once underneath. It's super fun while you have it (and want it) but oh my gosh growing it out is pure hell! I'm still growing out my underneath one 2 years after deciding I don't want it, and I'll probably have to cut the rest of my hair to match it if I ever want it fully gone (which SUCKS). Think hard about shaving your hair, kids!

Can’t you just wear hair extensions while growing it out? I’ve never worn hair extensions ( I have thick long hair) so please excuse me if that was a bad suggestion. I LOVE the undercuts and side cuts look a lot. Wish I was brave enough to try it.

I have always tried new things with my hair, but about 2 years ago I shaved half my head as well. I felt so visible and powerful. Still have the hair style today. I love it.

Your hair was so thick and healthy from the beginning that I think really helps pulling off the shaved half. Honestly, this just makes you look so much more interesting and in my opinion suits you so much better. This is going to sound so weird but I love you ears they are so cute😭

Very cool! I have toyed around with this hair cut. I have thin, 3C curly, widely spaced hair, so I need all the volume I can get. Plus my hair is so delicate. My hair breaks more when layered, so the more hair on my head, the less tension leading to breakage. So I hold on to what I've got. But I think it would be cool to work with my curly hair as it grows out; like I took a tiny curling iron to it to get finger waves. 🤔...is Meghal's hair naturally curly? I thought I was watching a video of someone mixed with naturally curly hair that was flat-ironed.
I have a similar cut, but mine ends at my ear, and goes up 4 finger widths. I didn't really want to lose as much as she did. Looks great on her though. (Jan Griffiths).
