Process over product. I always encourage my students to focus on the process of what they’re trying to do and they’ll get a much better product. Focus on the product and you’ll most likely miss the proper process and miss out on the end result you want.

very soft fluffy kitty 😀I think the big difference between a professional artist is discipline and determination, you need both and it takes time to develop the skills needed to be a professional, and even if a person is determined, they still might not get to the level where they consider themselves professional. but really what really defines a professional artist?

Don’t get absorbed in copying the “REFERENCE’ as the ultimate goal. For example, I see more beauty in your middle painting than the final outcome… 😊
