I'm old enough to remember another Bailey behind the plate. He wasn't a switch hitter, though. Good luck to this kid, he's starting off with a bang.

Not to put pressure on the kid, but it reminds me of how the Giants were a mid team at the time Posey came up, and they hit their stride. His defense and handling of pitchers alone makes him extremely valuable.

Position players we shall see. I like Marco. But Schmitt/ Matos need to bring the big boy bats. Defense I like though.
Still have yet to mention the possible two way Eldridge and Crawford
Patrick reminds me of Buster. He comes in and plays like an allstar veteran right off the bat!

A lot of these young ball players are really good people. The fact that many of them marry their hometown sweethearts really speaks to their character and well balanced lifestyle. Even after the big pay-day, most are humble, grounded and all around good people. Contrast these guys to NFL rooks or NBA rooks. Huge fundamental differences.
