How To : Removing a 42 inch New Style MTD Mower Deck

- In this video i show how to remove a 42" deck on MTD rider's with the side-lever engagement, this style of deck came out in 2005. the old style prior to this style was the single-lever-blade-deck-engage system commonly refereed to as Drop-Engage-Deck-System or DEDS for short.

Why does the hood say craftsman?
Craftsman mowers had more than a few different decks, MTD being one of them.
Grab those clips with some needle nose pliers my friend and you won’t have to wrestle with them for so long.
These mowers are like everything else,use it for a few years and throw it in the garbage...and buy a new one
