- Over a month after signing up on the waiting list, I finally got an access code to The Points Guy's brand NEW mobile app!📱 A few days ago I filmed myself downloading, signing-in, and exploring what the app has to offer. 😊

I can only assume that TPG takes privacy seriously. I haven't seen anything about this on their website so if this is a strong concern, before linking your cards and loyalty accounts, you could go to the app and click More > Support > Start A Conversation and ask TPG directly.

Thanks for the video. App is missing 1 massive item, actual available seats based on dates. it just gives you lowest point flights based on program, but nothing on availability. They also need an option to manually add your points, giving access to all my accounts, is a no no. Also would prefer a webpage vs app for easier access and entering information. Overall its a start, but has a long way to go.
Thank you for your personal review Michael! I agree that there should be dates when searching for flights. I brought this up in my video. Also, I wish they showed options to use Chase or Amex points. & I like the idea of a webpage too, since the travel planning mainly occurs on my laptop and not my phone.

Sync problems are pretty awful. Chase does not sync. Airline programs sync sometimes but 2 out of 3 fail and say "check back later." Really frustrating user experience and surprisingly slow customer service response (more than two days).
Hi Paul! Oh no! Sorry to hear that. I just checked my TPG account and, for me, everything is up to date besides Chase and Amex points, which says "Last synced 12/18/2021". Since you mentioned the customer service response was slow, what was their response on the issue? Are they aware of it and working to fix it? Or something else?
Can someone who uses cash back cards benefit from this app? Or is it mainly travel focused?
Hi Ryan, You can add cash back cards to the app. My Chase Freedom card is connected.

That's a great question Sharyn and I wish I had the exact answer to that but I haven't found the answer stated on TPG's website. I can only assume that TPG takes privacy seriously. Before linking your cards and loyalty accounts, you could go to the app and click More > Support > Start A Conversation and ask TPG directly.
I think the app is a little flawed. When you click the how to book, it links to an article. People want to know the steps to book what you’re seeing.

I'm sorry to hear that! The app is still relatively new and TPG recognizes that. If you go to More > Support > Start A Conversation, you can raise the Chase linking issue with TPG.
