An important tip would be to keep a good amount of killcoins in ur mailbox, they can't be looted and if you need it for some emergency, like ressurecting a dead character you can cash it while not worrying about getting raided and losing it! You can do the same with Splithium as well.

Just redownloaded it. Dont know what it is about this game but every few years I come back. Its so memorable and unique
Don't even set up defenses until you have grade 3s or you, for some reason, have like 7 max level grade 2 defenders.
Putting grade 1s on defense is the same as putting nothing on defense. New players should just send their grade 1s out on 1 hour expeditions to get easy money and food.
Would also have been nice to mention locking on (R3), dropkicking (Running+X), back drops (crouch behind+X), and attacking from above (above+X).
you can also taunt with r1 + l1 at the same time.
I would also add not to empty the reward box that often unless it has items you need. I don't think you lose items in it if you are raided.
2 years later, cap grade ones and kit them out and put the best ocarina possible. Some defense is better than none

Ive got some advice on the game, for floors 1-10 I recomend using and upgrading the red hot iron, iron hammer, jungle machete(if you find the blueprint), and for armor I recommend the DIY jacket and pants, for helmets I would also say the DIY helmet, these weapons and armor are very reliable when you upgrade them to their grade 3 variant. I also would also recommend buying death metals in this floor range, it really isnt worth it because you are going to have grade one fighters, when you die just switch over to another fighter(if you don't have one then use death metals to get you're fighter back) then get the kill coins you need to get said fighter back, it might take more time to get a dead fighter but don't kill that fighter on the floor where he or she died, as killing them would mean you get them back, but they lose their gear, kill coins, SPlithium, and decals.

Best places to farm healing items - Ikegara for beginners, you get like 6 frogs and 2 life shrooms. Chudo - There are like 8 animals in one spot and it's basically a psycho-all -you-can-eat buffet

you can also spend death metals on more storage for the waiting room..every 2 is 10 extra slots thats all i spend them on no reason to hoard unless you're in a rush to get to the top but id rather have more space for items for RnD later than to spend 10 DM on beating a boss i wasn't ready for. also spending kill coins is the best for retrieving up until around 20 the cost is very high(although i still feel its worth it) buying it with kill coins allow you to get all your items and exp back, where retrieving it by fighting yourself causes you to lose items.
the rewards box. doesn't "reset" any items in there stay there, but you do get a login bonus everyday and you won't be able to raid, send expeditions or enter the tower unless it is at 50 or less items. rewards box is great for piling up gold that can't get stolen from raids.. which you can gain from expeditions.
also losing in a raid(under 50percent) causes you to lose all items equipment and non premium decals on your character.

I love the little detail that when your base gets raided and the fighter fails by the fountain and not the subway platform they drop items for you to pick up next time you log in
Here is a usefull comment. Death medal is not useless when you reach higher floors. It is good to buy with real dollars because most of the time they have deals to buy it for a cheaper price such as 30 dms for about 5 dollars. You use dms for increase of storage. Also r&d will start to get really long and will take about two dms to complete MABYE i suggest you use dms to speed up time to get your gear fast. You can use dms in the hernia for high tier materials. You're welcome.

I have a question. Im known to collect everything i find and over time i found myself carrying a whole bunch of red R&D supplies in my storage bank back at base.... I keep checking in on that shopkeeper dude and he never needs them. Should I sell them all and gain my storage space back?
Also question #2 lol. When exploring the tower, i sometimes find blue blueprints with items that have already been researched and added to the store.... should i sell those too?

You better upgrade your storage at the HD Service! It costs 2 deathmetal for 10 slots.
And then you look out for - if you got 1 material super often then dont pick it up next time.
You should sell as much as often as possible! But you can gain gold very easily with raids. I dont play inventory-tetris just to save some few thousand bucks. (I rather be smart and sell all almost broken items because this guy takes them for the same price as full life items)
Damn wish I saw this when I first started I have a level 74 and I'm struggling to get to floor 25 from 21.
Haven't played yet (ps4 being repaired) but one thing has been bugging me, Do the bosses respawn when you redo the floors or is it like I read somewhere that you have to beat floor 40 first.

things I have found myself puzzled about are how the decals that lower your stat gear requirements are called Quest items and what the stats actually do like Vitality, Luck, and dexterity.
How do I revenge attack a player online?
PLEASE DO NOT EVER REVIVE YOUR CHARACTER DURING A RAID IN THE TOWER UNLESS YOU ARE LITERALLY AT A STAND STILL AND YOU ARE ALMOST AT THE NEXT ELEVATOR... This game may seem like it is pay to win with deaths but deathmedals are not supposed to be used on deaths rather to increase your storage mainly, reviving yourself especially early on is not worth it in the slightest, always salvage via killcoins, if you cannot kill a boss dont worry just work on leveling your gear and kill them later on or just try to practice them and buy back, just do not spend many death medals on deaths otherwise you will think this game is pay to win but the more you play the better you can dodge weapons and bosses and you wont ever struggle again if you just practice.
If you have a few weapons you really struggle against try to obtain the blueprint of the weapon and equip it to one of your tdm defenders then pratice your "defense simulation" this will let you practice the weapon with absolutely no downside to dying or to durability of your items.
How do you get back to the main lobby area to level up? I'm on the third floor but can't beat the boss and can't use the elevator?

I know this video is old, but I'm stuck on floor 5. All the enemies there are one punching me and I'm capped out. I ended using 2 death metals(medals?) To just run away from them.
There's also the big problem of everyone stealing my kill coins and SPlitium. This makes it so I can't build/buy armor or weapons.
What's the best thing to do?

can you help me with the lvl 10 ability of the saw? It says to press x for a parry. now i cant parry with x. the saw itself seems to have no parry on l1,r1. when i parry with another weapon or with circle an quickly after it x whilst having the saw equipped, still nothing happens. so how and when do i have to do the input? This is just me, but I wouldn't start TDM until you've upgraded in fighters, weapons and armor. Lots of tough customers waiting to pounce on someone with grade 1 defense wearing aprons. It'll be a grind, but like Bouse said, get to the tenth floor, take out the boss, and invest in a collector.

Oh yea! Definitely dont forget to go to the arcade sometimes.... i am still getting early game tips at floor 20 cause i didnt talk to the tip guy or just didnt go into the arcade at all. Its kind of annoying :p my own damn fault though haha.

You get more as you upgrade your fighters in the fridge, each star it has, the more decals you get. Also I think you can pay to put more on characters with death metals

@@justinemarshall90death metals come rarely and should be spent on expanding storage. Just buy one good deal that stands well alone like tank, dumbbell, or one that makes your healing better. As you progress decals come more easily, mostly focus on grinding for gear.

How do you level up and save the game?
is there a way to fast travel back to waiting room
How does weapon degrading work in this game and is there a way to raise your durability and hold on to weapons? Im about to start this game and this feature has me concerned cuz I grow very attached to things in games. Lol
DudeNoobem if you haven't started yet, the answer is no. Once it breaks, it breaks. It's basically the games primary mechanic. Everyone breaks pretty fast, making you scavenge and/or recraft new gear.
Every weapon has 5 (more when maxed ) teirs of durability, base weapons will just have no numbers and will be 1400 durability unless an event weapon, tdm weapon, or RE weapon as they scale differently.. Each weapon gains a little durability in between leveling them up +1, +2, +3 and +4, after plus 4 you will jabe the option to evolve the blueprint and get a more powerful version but you will reset the durability to 1400.
Once you evolve a weapon's blueprint the 3rd time making it Teir 4 after making the wrapon +4 you can uncap the weapon and this will allow you to give the wrapon insanely high durability but not too much more damage +5 starts at 6k durability and the weapon can be upgraded up to +9 gaining about 200some durability each time...
Commonly asked questions, there is no way to refill ammo on a weapon when you run out, you can reload if you have more by holding down the interact button (X or A on controller) and pressing the L2/LT or R2/RT Button depending on which hand it's in..
Also side note in case you actually read this far, the RE weapons in hernia start at super high durability so it is worth it to get them if you can but it will take a lot of farming decals and recycling them for rp.

I'm enjoying this game a whole lot. I hope they improve the stun lock style of combat however. What would you suggest as a build? I'm leaning towards a stamina melee style personally.
I really haven't played around with specific builds yet as I haven't really made it far enough. Honestly, pick the style of fighter that you feel best suits you, max out all the stats and figure out which weapon types you do the most damage with.
Azure Arcade Striker for climbing, Lucky star for farming KC and SPL, Defenders with strikers or attackers for defending ur waiting room, Collectors for farming ur mats for R&D, For raiding I use a Striker, Skill Masters are pretty good for a scavenging trips for ur fighter to bring u goods. The higher grade the better ofc, I started making only a striker and lucky star and a collector until I get grade 5 fighters then I start making more grade 5 fighters. Hope this helps
Azure Arcade Strikers and Shooters are going to be your best choice for climbing the dungeon, they have high hp and can deal a lot of damage.
Attackers die too fast and defenders take to long to kill people, especially bosses. they are better suited for pvp, defending and expeditions.
Collectors are best for farming floors you've already been to. Don't climb new floors with them.

I can access the TDM terminal, but nothing about upgrading my character or waiting room, shows up.. Maybe I'm just missin something, or need to actually do the raid stuff before that shows up? I've been avoiding that raid stuff for now though, cuz I don't need to randomly have my crap stolen considering I'm still newish. IMHO, PVP is best reserved for endgame, as you likely have little chance at succeeding against the lifers otherwise (this typically applies to most games with PVP).
I think you just have to get to a certain point.

Game auto saves inbetween floors but to not count as a death only log out while in the waiting room by pausing and selecting the bottom option (im sure you figured this out by now though)
