The number of known exoplanets seems to grow every day. Most of them are worlds completely unlike our own. But some get pretty close to something resembling home - and may someday become exactly that.

“I just wanna see things” perfectly describes our evolution of curiosity
😂🤣😂🤣
@William Day with Lamarckian evolution
RIP DOOM
"eVOluTiOn"
You nailed it "damn space why you gotta be so big... I just wanna see things"😂😂
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion.
I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate.
All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
Time to die.
If the space is so big, then why won't it me?
What's _really_ crazy to think of is that because the Sun orbits, as do other stars, we've had *at least* two known stars who have crossed within our Oort cloud. Within the presence of anatomically modern humans. The last being during the Ice Age.
Not so long ago we thought that the oceans were too vast, and dangerous to cross, and so they were, and still are, but we did do it. Space may be the same, or just simply impossible for creatures such as ourselves; but maybe not for some others,.... out there.
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
Q: Why haven't aliens come to our solar system yet?
A: They read the reviews

Two planets meet in space. The first asks:'How are you?' The second answers: 'not very good, I have got homo sapiens.' the first one:' Don't mind, that never lasts long!'
Maybe life is planets' equivalent of a STD.

Epstein Drive for you Expanse fans out there. That didn't age well LMAO that made me laugh
Why? Did something happen to that series?
And the inventor of the drive accidentally killed himself with the drive....or did he?
😂😂😂
I laughed so hard at that! 🤣
He was commenting on the name "Epstein" not aging well in reference to the child prostituting creep who had many connections to the rich and powerful in many countries.
It's one of those things that makes anyone with that same surname, related or not, shake their heads in embarrassment.
Lovd the walk down memory lane from past videos

One of my favorite things about this channel (and I’m not sure if other channels are wont to do this with a similar frequency) is that you DO take up half the runtime of the thing to PROPERLY introduce the video, what makes it matter, how to think about what you’re about to go into, before you get into it.
That’s the good shit. Thanks for it.
That little "love you guys, take care" at the end is just so nice to hear ☺️

Thank you - always informative and entertaining. Stay safe.
We'll learn a lot in the next 50 years, but I'll be dead. I've got like 20 years left at most, and I'm not sure I even want to live that long.
I just want to know if there's any other life out there. I think it's improbable that there isn't but I hope we know for sure before i die.
Same here. Confirmed life, presumably in our Solar System; and a Mars colony too. I'm dubious I'll see even a manned landing on Mars before I drop off the mortal coil. I'd love to be proven wrong on all of these.
Hey man, by January the zombie virus should have kicked in and that whole "dying" thing won't be nearly the issue it is now! So cheer up buddy!
The James Webb space telescope has a good chance of discovering life on another planet, though it will be difficult to confirm it. That telescope will be able to analyze a planet's atmospheric composition, thus a planet harboring life will stick out like a sore thumb. It'll just be tough to prove it's life and not some other strange geological process.
The way I've fallen apart just in the last few years, I doubt I'll last another twenty or even ten 8-(
I am 61 now. Doubtful I'll be around for any of these "discoveries ". Maybe a trip to Mars will happen in the next 10 to 20 years?
Excellent presentation, Joe. Thank you and keep up this kind of programming.
