I felt a strong Forest Gump vibe at the very end there LOL Great video! You always know what we need when we need it... it's uncanny. Thanks!
Time to go watch the Monty Python Argument sketch methinks
Great video!
There is probably some Stoic/Zen/Tao wisdom that parallels these thoughts you've shared.
The words we use have power to influence the reality around us by changing the way we and other perceive the world.
Yes. Stepping back and asking, "how are we missing each other's messages" instead of just ramping up the fight over the message itself helps a lot.
big wisdom
Rudy has dedicated a segment in every video for the past year calling people morons. He's also the same guy that bans people from re-joining his patreon regardless of circumstance. He runs every sale at maximum hype (pre-sale prep videos) and full fomo tactics of SEND MONEY NOW or COMMENT AND WAIT IN LINE, knowing that he doesn't have enough product for his patrons. He could, if he set maximum limits, but he's focused on selling as fast as possible and his tactics reflect that. I laughed during the part of that video where he wanted people to be respectful. It's a fine message, hypocrites can have good messaging. But Rudy just ain't that guy. He's in it for the business and the money, and that often times means doing the wrong things for just the right customer, which he attracts plenty of.
I'm just in it for the entertainment and maybe a good deal every year or two. :)
I came for the MTG advice and stay for the life strategy advice. If you have not discovered him yet, I recommend Mark Manson's work.
There is swatting...
Yeah, and just doxing too. And then occasionally I'll get a completely unhinged angry message that makes me truly wonder what some people are carrying around inside. =p
I feel like some people just argue for the sake of arguing, and personally, I don't need that nonsense in my life. No thanks! 😄
For some people a conversation is a competition. They always have to win. Who knows why?
What's wild in my opinion is people wanting to argue with ME thinking that if they win it scores them some kind of giant internet cred. I'm a tiny channel aimed at a miniscule audience. There's no glory in beating me in an argument. And yet people will spend the energy trying.
=p
I know a lot of people who have never been punched in the face and it shows.
Humbling.
