Love this. I grew up in the 1970s and 1980s hearing piano and organ music at church. So tired of choruses and praise teams. No one sings out. Same choruses over and over. Thank you for this!
Depends on what church you go to. My church has a praise team and we often times can hardly hear them because the church is singing. The old and new are mixed. All the worship music is to honor and glorify God, not satisfy the taste of music for the people. Those who wrote the old hymns are just as much as ordinary people as those who wrote the newer hymns. Hymns are praise music. That’s what the word means. Nowhere will you find the definition of a hymn as being an ancient song of worship. Stop making worship about you.
It is a pleasure to hear blended music using an organ or (pipe organ), and piano playing togethe. Wish more churches did this, especially First Presbyterian Church in Grand Junction, Colorado. We have an excellent set up but nobody listens to requests for music all duets. Such a shame. I grew up listening to both instruments and I do miss the original musicians, but the new ones refused or ignored my requests for the two instruments to play on some given Sunday...and even have the hand bells join in! Doesn't have to be on Easter which is a special occasion,but a regular Sunday Morning. 🤔🤔
Beautiful this hymn is very special to me during my darkest years I would sing it especially the Chorus. I went to a service one Sunday and this was played I broke down and came back to The Lord. Praise God always Faithful

Growing up in the church many years I was used to hearing Piano and organ duets , offeratorys, preludes and postludes. You dont see much of this anymore. Thank you for playing this arrangement and I hope you play many more!

I wished my young people would take up organ & piano. This vary good music. Today it seams more just noise with out the organ & piano. I think some of the newer song are good . The old hymns bring you closer the are Lord and Savior . Love here more of you. Love to here more of the hymns with both of you playing . Its good to hear other believers. Praise team = 7 - 11 ie only 7 words in a chorus but sing it 11 times.
