Boys, you done made your Outlaw Country forefathers proud.
Guys got me through very early sobriety..alone. Aside from Jesus. I'm 26.. my dad is 62. You guys are my lynyrd skynyrd he had in his day. My hearts never been more fond of a group. May God bless you guys in every way.
Keep fighting the good fight, here with you.
Keep on going brother. 👊
Praise Jesus my brother! 1 Peter 5:8
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:”
Relevant, the kings son Jesus to Pharos next in line, Joseph. Riches in youth they became drunk with wine, and made emends to the world with academic knowledge and wisdom of the teachings freely by Jesus and the ones who chose to become sober. This song is a very heartfelt almost, a real relevant warning to the Bible, as the devil (slander, liar), was a liar from the beginning. Open the story book, and knowledge of both is told in the best way accurately as possible when finally when they chose to comine the Scrolls in an attempt at a chronological order of events, and they tried to remember. The truth is ugly and miss understood, fools worship it in our of contextual mystical fantasy and praise it. Most don't even know the real stories of those terrible people in that book, they left most it out, as, you don't want your roal representatives of your own people remembered for the overwhelming whiteness over the good they did after chaos was already in motion, creat the problem, in the dark, then be praised by witnesses in the daylight for solving the sins that they try to undo. Stolen and borrowed and even made up pleasing mystical stories replace the history of a world at war with it's own people. It all started with lies. The snake that sneaks up on it's fellow low life snake on the grass, to eventually bite itself in it's own ass. The infinite cycle of life.
keep it up ! Fight till the end ! Praised be the Lord !
These guys are simply badasses. Bands like this are so damn hard to find nowadays. Them, Blackberry Smoke, and Whiskey Myers keep me going.
You named my favorite 3 bands currently. I recently discovered TSW, and I instantly fell in love with them.
Don't forget "The Heavy Horses" my friend.
Have you ever listened to Band of Heathens (Hurricane)?😊
Dude thanks for the recommendations 👍
Yes, am andestand. Russian 🎸🎸🎸
This is the camaraderie the world forgot it needed.
Hell yes. This is what country music is supposed to be- Amazing story telling and raw emotion.
Hell yeah
I'm up north in Wisconsin and this fits us just fine. Respect to the south. Damn good song.
I am also from WI...what a song

Fuck me I can’t stand new country music. THIS is real, and god damn good to boot
You guys understand the music video at all? It seems to have some deeper meaning that i cant grasp. Songs fucking amazing tho
I think this is more Southern Rock not country. JS
My buddy just got me into these guys. Even two metalheads can appreciate how awesome this stuff is 👍
Who can't?!
I just found them. On Spotify. Wow! I can't get enough of this genre. Check out good night Texas the railroad.
Outlaw country and metal go hand in hand...
Same, my friend from Missouri introduced me to these guys. I'm a metal head from birth and I really like this music
Totally Agree!!!!!!
This is America. The People who broke their back to build it. Now they sing beautiful songs.
Good riding music 18 gears 18 wheels rolling thru these western states.
Lol used to let the pete unwind and catch some speed leaving California. This music used to make me wanna do outlaw shit lmao. I'd hit 75mph east of LA in the desert and let her run for a good long while across the desert.
I was all heavy metal. Metal head, long hair since 19 yr old. I'm now 33 long hair remains. A beard is now covering my face. I'll tell you this, this here above my comment has been what's been missing. I appreciate you & your music.
Plz Check out Shawn James if you havent discovered him already, a perfect combination of southern rock, bluegrass, with the voice of a metal God. The live performances are the best
Ain't nothin wrong with bein both! I was born a country boy but I'm also metal to the bone!
Shaun Simms.."Yep..been a punk rocker fer more than four decades now..and when you just simply realise that music that speaks to you sweetly and magically somehow..yer know that yer in the right place at all times. It just don't matter what human you be or the tribe you hail from..be a civilian or even a Martian or alien. The music that weaves its beautiful sorceries right down deep into your very soul and human bones..you know you've found an earthly home."
(/-\)👍😊💕..
Pearson yes!! Shawn James is Amazing! Saw him play 3 years ago in Edinburgh Scotland on a trip back to the UK. Had never heard of him and was actually there for a mates mate who was supporting him....... When Shawn started singing, holy shit I was blown away! Absolutely epic. A lot of his recordings don’t really do his voice justice imo. Would love to see him again. If you haven’t already, check out his cover of Number of the Beast..... goosebumps for days lol
Same man, 80's thrash head here and loving this find of solid gold.
I was listening to this song when it had 10,000 views.
Makes me happy to see over 2 million now! Rightfully deserved!
9.5 million
This is how many artists are paying bills
I met Jason about a month ago when I changed out his air conditioner. He was a super nice guy and when we got to talking he told me about his band - which I promptly forgot about when I left. Well yesterday I found his card in my wallet and I am so happy I did! I wasn't expecting a lot but I figured I'd give them a shot just to support a smaller band. But these guys freaking rock!!! Awesome sound, vibes and storytelling from this music I love it and its obvious these are some really talented musicians all of them.
Keep it up guys! If Jason is any indication you obviously care a lot about staying true to your craft and it shows through this whole album. Hope I can come see a show sometime soon here in Nashville.
They play in Nashville on January 18, 2019! Wish I was out that way to see them play
Somewhere there's a guy that changed Bob Dylan's air conditioner back in the day still regaling people with the tale...

This is the western/cowboy answer to Wardruna Viking music, in my ears.
Just hits the nail on the head completely, and knocks it all down in one punch.
It doesn't matter how bad my day is, i just play one of these songs, and i'm good to go.
Im simply amazed....!
Yes! You my friend have hit the nail on the head
These guys are going to make it big, sooner rather than later.
If their latest release - Old News is any indication, they're here...
Unfortunately they won't make it big. Today's "country" is pop bullshit. This is too much like actual country. Still wish them all the best and big success

I live up in the "West Dakota" territory. If you have ever been here this song makes perfect sense and hits home. It is extremely rural. The nearest Walmart, stop light, or McDonalds is over an hour away. If the loneliness doesn't get you here the alcoholism, drugs, winter weather, isolation, lack of opportunity, and just overall harsh living will. People leave here far more than they drift in.
Finally, originality. Oh my I love this. I like Classical to Metal and Country but the latest batch of country makes me cringe. This is what I've been waiting on! Wow!
Try tyler childers, thank me later. :)

He rode in from the west with an eye for a dollar to make
He pitched us a sale about healing and oil from a snake
The barkeep, he warned him, but the man did not comprehend
How strangers 'round here disappear like straw in the wind
[Verse 2]
Too young, but in love when she met him in some northern town
He treated her good ’til the sun and the whiskey went down
Did the bruise on her face test the patience of all of her kin?
Or do strangers 'round here disappear like straw in the wind?
[Verse 3]
Ol' Jim runs his mouth when he drinks since his wife passed away
But he’s good to the kids and the crops that he sells are fair trade
But a travelin' man heard enough and took a pipe to his chin
That traveling man disappeared like straw in the wind
[Verse 4]
If the mouth of this river could talk, here's what it would say:
"If you come here with good in your heart, you'll be on your way
"But I'm not the one here who judged another man's sin
"Or made strangers 'round here disappear like straw in the wind"
Strangers 'round here disappear like straw in the wind

Who is he?
Jason "Rowdy" Cope was the lead guitarist, co-founder and co-creater of The Steel Woods. he passed away in 2021.
Maaaannnn, this is how country should sound. Just randomly clicked on this video and I am not disappointed at all
More southern rock than country...
I was thinking outlaw country, but either way...no complaints

No matter the genre, we all end up making sure a song like this is the most player track.
"He treated her good till sun and the whiskey went down." What a genius lyric. I was doing some work when this song randomly pops in and i got distracted by this masterpiece line.
+1 brother
Those lyrics cut deep to me. Lived that pure hell for almost 8 years. Never raised a hand to me unless he was drinking. It makes my skin crawl to think of what I tolerated
I literally got shown this song a couple days ago and I can’t stop listening. I get lost inside that music and those lyrics really hit my heart and soul, when music does that it makes me believe happiness is always possible.
Great music, this song reminds of the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald

Never been either to southern states or US. I was born on another continent actually, but my soul belongs to that kind of country music and everything that makes southern states of US so damn brutal and unique!
👍
This is what real music is all about. Pop music will never come close
Saw these guys the other night at a very random low key venue and had never heard of them. They were amazing. During this song the wind was blowing and the guitarist’s hair was blowing in the wind hard as he was shredding the solo. Shit was like something out of a movie!
Have you ever heard of the song Keep The Wolves Away by Uncle Lucius? Great song about working men, and there’s a scene were the guitar player is wailing away while the wind blows.
They killed it with this song
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘♨♨♨♨♨♨2022
This song captures what used to happen to bad men. We're soft on abusers, pedophiles, theives, murderers and rapists in today's society. Back in the day, the people got together, and those bad men just "disappeared." There's an ancestor on my Mom's side from a few generations ago who used to come home drunk and presumably beat his wife. He suddenly "ran off," but no one truly knows what happened. We live in a fragile fantasy that could all disappear in an instant. I see this on the horizon. I see the institutions that currently withhold the truth crumbling. But it comes at a cost; the cost is comfort. This song captures that discomfort.

For me, this is music. I prefer this genre above all others....
One of the best songs I've ever heard..and whomever chose the film footage/cut it for the video is an artist. The imagery along with the music are transportive..into a shadowy, romantic dreamscape that stirs the soul.
This damn song should have a billion views. Some people that deserve the lime light just don't get it 😒
One of the best Southern songs I have heard - I am surprised no metal bands have used this as a cover .Awesome - the video is also an excellent addition - true story telling - suppose that is music in essence . .
This is real music. Real life struggles and how we ty to overcome our shortcomings when it's to late to make a real menz. I miss my blood brother. He died to young at 43 and I never got to tell him how much I really loved him. RIP Dan I'll always remember you forever.
