Since I’m new here, got my sticker, and am now addicted, my question is, are all the Byrd’s from the same flock? Brothers, cousins??? Here in Cincinnati there was a Byrd flock, Dad, BIL, son, daughter, now all retired LEO’s.
Annoyance is the problem created by so many vehicles on road illegally or stolen. Then successful tvi. Insurances rocket higher. Never get the person to pay, nil equity, nil care. Just hope that legal owners are not jeopardized in recouping loss. Can be held up in civil disputes unfairly. The elephant in the room, that we still have a majority in these incidents, and their arrogance towards the offending is not lessening.

Very true. They give respect when they are respected and they give the true criminals the attitude they deserve. I made a mistake with my multi year registration. Once I knew I had made the mistake and told him I'll take the ticket and get it fixed right away he spent 15 mins trying to get ahold of the dmv to see if that's what happened. Unfortunately it was a government holiday and I got the ticket and had to prove at court what happened to get it dropped.

@MegaSmokingMonkey they didn't actually pit the wrong car. Two cars went flying by the trooper, and they just went for the slower one. My guess is he lost visual on the first one. Was the guy running? I would say yes, but I believe just before he got pitted, he had decided to give up.

I love the drivers who are on I-40, less than a mile from Memphis, TN (and likely freedom) who get pitted and then act like children because they thought they could get away. If there is a police officer behind you, with lights and sirens on, you put on your right hand turning signal, pull over on the right hand shoulder of the road, and then place your vehicle in park, and then turn it off.
That is how a traffic stop goes.
You do not gesture out the driver's side window, trying to tell the pursuing officer "what you are going to do." You are not in control of the situation, they are.
Then, you are supposed to comply with lawful orders... anything short of compliance is resistance and interfering with their job/duty to serve and protect.
