- This video is about GE Locomotive and GE Transportation, recently 20 locomotives of GEU 20 class were imported from General electric USA by Pakistan Railways for passenger rail operations.
I visited the Rawalpindi loco shed to witness the refueling the GEU 20 Locomotive, this locomotive was recently detached from a passenger train came from Lahore Railway Station.
Refueling was done manually by a loco shed operator and it took almost 15 minutes to fill the fuel tank.
after Refueling locomotives staff had to changed, new locomotive driver and assistant driver took the charge and they brought GEU 20 locomotive to turn table, then they both placed the locomotive at turn table and manually managed the turn table to change the face of the locomotive for upcoming operation,

Great video, haven't seen old fashioned fuelling for years, Banlaw log in/log out electronic controlled filling in use in Australia, if you cannot log in you cannot fuel the loco. Also stops spillages (over fill) and people from stealing diesel too. 4568 good idling sound too. Thank you.

One major difference between Indian and Pakistani Railways is that turntables are still in use. In India, most of the locomotives are dual cab and so turntables have disappeared like in British Rail today. Also Electric locomotives which are used extensively in India are all dual cab. The older Alco diesels are bidirectional switchers and don't need a turntable.

Oh my god, you guys are wasting so much time in just refilling? Why your locomotive are not running on both side ?
Just because each Railway division have it's own fuel quota, locomotive could run on both sides, the locomotive arrived from Lahore division to Rawalpindi Division and it was recently detached from a passenger train and then its reported to loco shed for post operation Checkups and refilling for its upcoming journey,

In India we don't have to manually turn it our locomotives are dual cab based and can run from both sides... Pakistand bhot peeche jaa chuka hai
You're locos also run on Long hood, which is very dangerous to have less visibility, not all locos of Indian Railways have dual cabs,
But in Pakistan Railways we have trun table on almost every station to turn the front at forward position during every haul, Pakistan Railways locomotives could also haul on both sides but they dont run passengers or freight trains on Long hood mode because its dangerous,
@@SitesandSounds there is not even a single case of damage happening by long hood as 2 loco drivers keep an eye on both side and there is ample distance between signal and cab though majority of our routes are electrified and we have already moved to elocos 12000 hp wag 12 is the latest example. You will find long hood diesel alco's very less in India now and in diesel sections we prefer wdp4d which is a dual cab emd... ♥️ From india

The locomotive you're talking about is made by GE and the cab design is of American cab style, Chinese copying American locos
Train ka engine kitny cc ka hota h or 1L m kitna distance travel krta h with and without bogies
