    Someone should make a mode for this game where you can play as the anti creep and place towers and stuff, would be like an offensive tower defence type game!

    The slow change on heart from “air sacks are just to worst” to “air sacks, great!” Is a beautiful arch for Tomothy’s character.

      Oh, this is just the "easy" version, Tom still has to do the version 2 of ERN Rush which is even harder because there's three lasers PERFECTLY setup so high ground is useless to you until they are destroyed, or you cut off the green production.

    So, the creeper world videos have become some of my favorite "in the background while I do stuff, or fall asleep" video series. I realized at 20:00 that Tom isnt playing the people, but rather the creep. And this is why I can rewatch these a shocking amount, and still enjoy it xD

    I was surprised that at 1:57, Tom has set up the Rocks a way off to be able to trigger suddenly, but still places Eggs out from his Creeper towards them rather than in from the Rocks.

      yeahh it is a little bit cheesy to exploit it like that, knowing the eggs will trigger off placed buildings (like the rocks) or nullified emitters kinda makes it too easy
      (which is why map makers started putting shields around all the buildings)

      @@zantanzuken It's not about cheesing them at all. You start at where you want to reach and then chain back towards the Creeper, because as soon as it's in range of the Creeper they will all activate off of one another really quickly, and you don't ever have to worry about falling short of having enough to get all the way.

    Have not played Creeper World 4 but from watching these videos Skimmers seem like some of the most powerful unit types to prioritize in these LPAC maps

      Skimmers are great because when they fail they stun units but if they aren't shot down they don't do anything so I prefer blobs more generally.

      @@Gakulon Yeah but not if there is already creep there which is why in late game they can be a bit useless. where as a blob will hit it's target and explode into creep if it doesn't hit anything in ther way

    It peeves me to no end that you left the skimmers at 29 per wave, cmon just one more boost would’ve been perfect! Good video. Airsac mvp, our goofy floaty boys did all the work.

    Every. Single. Time. Tom is impressed with the simultaneous skimmer/blob wave that breaks the back of any defense. Also, air sacks are useless but their happy little trips over occupied territory are well worth the time and effort.

    I wonder if Tom will realise that upgrading skimmers/bloobs/spores reduces their firing time (temporarily) so you can time the upgrades to get continuous firing waves

    I think this encapsulates a big reason why the air sacs always do so poorly. They're almost always one of the last things freed. They are basically random but that means the later they are freed, the more worthless they will be.
    They really need to be one of the earlier releases, and then they can go around and either waste missiles/ammo early on so the bases aren't just hoarding it for end-game, or they actually cause disruptions in the base by landing those well-placed shots.

      Early game you are unlikely to overwhelm the missile defense though, the survivors tend to be maxed out on arg until you can reduce their production. So they are rarely good early either.

    Gory my boy we both love a good overbuild. Hot tip from one captain distracto to another layout ya whole build turn all units off then turn on 1 mine immediatly ern it, then turn on 2 mines , 4 ect and all ya other builds 👌

      Are there any mods that buff them or make them better though? Like you can use both missiles and snipers to basically make airsacs ineffective, maybe if they shot a creep beam like the tripods from WotW it would make them more effective?

    I wonder why map makers always seem to treat air sacs as the last "upgrade" in these PAC maps? They are really not that useful, and by the time you get to them the map is basically finished, and the final defenses are guarded with missiles and snipers that negate them anyways.

      They can completely drain the economy due to the amount of shooting snipers need to do for their orbs, and can tank enough missiles to distract launchers from spore (more the former) and you can actually see this to great effect in many of Tom's videos, even though he only rarely acknowledges it.

    What actually is the point of Airsacks? I've don't play creeper world and just watch the videos and I can't figure out what they really do different than something like spores.

      air sacs are somewhere between blobs and spores
      you need missiles to kill the air sac, same as a spore, but you need SNIPERS to kill their leg that they throw down, like a blob.
      The problem is they're not the best of both worlds, they're the worst of both. Theyre too slow to get their bodies above buildings before missiles kill them, and they're too inaccurate to reliably hit buildings when snipers already shot most (or all) of their "blobs" on the run up. The only real strength is they take a lot more energy to kill comparatively

    Even if you get slowed by snipping a map into sections the power loss slows the humies more in the long run, especially if its an ai builder that can get caught trying to overbuild

    Found an easy way to cheese this map. Select the redon rock, ctrl+a to select all of them, then turn them off. No more shields for them which makes an egg rush to the rift lab easy and it will all come crashing down for them.

    honestly i think all this 'longer it takes' missions are all liars, cause EVENTUALLY in a play as creep map, you just win... because the AI cant play as well as you can to react to things. eventually you win no matter what.

    I really dislike these maps that have "laggy" as a tag given to them. Like come on man, this game is super simple, how much crap do you need to put in to make it laggy.

    1:11 Yeah well... hmm.. you could always turn it off. You can also turn off a lot of the other units too. Find one you can and Ctrl-A to select all of that type that you can control and turn off... works best on sprayers and pylons.

    You really need to learn to use mesh right mate. Put it where you want more creep, REMOVE it where you want less of it.

    Some remarks:
    - I see you are still spamming Mesh. I can only repeat:
    Thin lines towards a specific target (like a Shield, Rift or Nullifier) or up a mountain - that is how to use it.
    From the closest emitter only. No lines across the map.
    And remove it after the target has been taken out.
    - Having multiple fronts is a always a bad idea. You only ever drain ammo as fast as you can produce creep. And you should rather spend creep on actually making headway. And with any halfway decent map, you will not be able to cut power unless you are right at their doorstep
    Actually it is the humans that have the issues. They do not have infinite frontage space. While for you, every emitter always produces and pushes more forward.
    In fact, they were running out of weapons to put a ERN on when you reached their base. The second you had the first floating ERN not going for another weapon, you knew they were running out of time.
    - Rocks are most useful for attacking defenses deep in AC or behind overlapping shield walls
    - near the end a few eggs could have taken out the mines, possibly even destroyed or cut of the Riftlab - thus dooming the entire effort to failure. There is no pylon that is more important then the one you find in the riftlab. Cut it off, everything falls.
