Extended cut of our chase from a historic outbreak of tornadoes filmed in northeast Nebraska during the afternoon of June 16, 2014. Our team witnessed and documented a total of four EF-4 tornadoes in the towns of Stanton, Pilger, and Wakefield from a single, cyclic supercell.

The SKEW-T for Omaha at 1900 on this day is the most impressive of all time. 57675 sfc CAPE, -14 Lifted Index, 348 Sfc-1km helicity, 586 Sfc-3km helicity and 60kts of effective bulk shear. The only other day I could find with numbers this crazy was the April 2011 Super Outbreak.

Thanks for not constantly talking through the video, and not asking for people to license your video for money. Definitely one of the very few who aren't arrogant.

Great video. Not full of screams, cursing or needless jabber. Just good chasing. Thanks

These twin twisters are fantastic. It would be interesting to hear how a single supercell can bring forth twin twisters.

    Such great photography!
I found a great dealership nearby that sells hail damaged, late model vehicles for like ⅕ of bluebook price.
Titles are salvage, so you can't get certain kinds of comprehensive coverage, but meh, who cares? Safelight delivers. And as long as you don't mind the golf ball texture on hood and roof, it's all good. I would imagine all the cars in these videos look like that, given all the monster size hail they drive thru.

Extremely interesting to see a weakening rope strengthen again significantly in just 10 seconds. 20:48 - 20:58. It just gets stronger within seconds afterwards. Wow. Can't wait till Spring! I'm saving money now to join a chase tour for a week...maybe two weeks, in 2020.

I remember that day very well, when everyone including a couple of State Troopers were driving down 81 away from the storm. I was doing close to 100 driving into the storm to get home to my then 14 year old Daughter who was home alone.

Did you happen to notice the faster you drive the more powerful the effect of high winds? In the mid-70's I had a Ford Econoline van. For at least 3 days we had beautiful skies but winds that gusted to 100 mph..... the wind emptied the Severn River on which the US Naval Academy is situated. The average mile-wide river was reduced to a stream about 10' wide. MY father had advised me the faster I drive the more the wind is going to impact the van. Driving the Interstate Rte 50 bridge that leads to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge was ridiculous; a few times I was sure I'd be on 2 wheels. The old man wasn't exaggerating...... I backed way down on speed and still it was like something shoving the front or rear of the van left and right.

Very interesting to see little pilger slingshot around big pilger from a different angle. Naturally it looked a bit slower, rather than when you see it side on.

Daniel isn't a bad guy! Of course being a super-hardcore HAM radio operator and taking months off to chase in a country that isn't your own is slightly bananas. He does a good job though I think, and he helps out when needed.

I guess at the end of the day, were all kind of crazy to do this. Now that I think about I've spent almost all of my vacation time from work only in the spring, driving around the Midwest for the last 11 of 15 years. I'm just as crazy I think! Best of luck with your trip

20:48 looked like a 3rd wanted get it's act together all way to left to. I love watching and studying big tornados but this is one I can't cuz I think too much about that little girl who was running with her mom n sister from it in town and was killed. Her mom was in coma 2 wks had find out when woke up her sister made it . It's also fastest moving tornado in history like 80 mph so mom had no chance
