Smuggler Arrested After Pursuit in Webb County

A human smuggler attempted to allow three illegal immigrants from Mexico to bail out of his vehicle during a high-speed pursuit in Webb County. It happened on FM-1472. The smuggler took off after allowing the passengers to run, then lost control and crashed into a curb. He was arrested by DPS Troopers and charged with evading arrest and smuggling of persons. Three illegal immigrants were referred to Border Patrol.
