- Don't get me wrong, I LOVE #Scentsy but I want people out there (consultants & customers) to be informed so that this doesn't happen to you!
To be clear, the price was reduced twice because the combine & saves + 10% off sale & not because she was giving me any perks. A party order was only $200 at the time so she walked away with my credits & 1/2 price items while I paid full price 😢 (+ she got paid commission off of my order) However every consultant is different so just remember to always ask questions & make that connection 💕

Scentsy's a great source for us wax addicts. So sorry to hear your very first Scentsy experience was so lacking luster to say the least. I just got introduced to Scentsy in Dec and have been happy ever since. Thank you for sharing your horror story and being transparent.
May want to update cause it is $200 party order gets free shipping now and 1 half price items and the 10% hostess reward also. Also the new diffusers are amazing and the temperature doesn't matter with them. I personally am a Scentsy rep and I keep my temperature at 68-69 and my scents works amazing! I had Walmart ones until my friend who sells it gave me some fro Christmas and well now I choose to share Scentsy myself. It is so much better on my allergies as opposed to the others.
I’ve been where you were! Had an order that had an issue. Consultant for the party fixed it, but after that I never heard back from her. I have since found another consultant who takes great care of me & I am a total scentsy only girl

I'm sure you're a better consultant because of this experience. I've found that I like active consultants in any direct sales business.
Just watched Christinas - Worst party ever video~ (y) i laughed...it was a great story! thank god for hubbys ;) and our products~ They truly sell themselves.
In canada here in quebec, its 240$ before taxe and shpping, on a party, minimum to get 10% and half price goodies and all, and shipping is not free, its goes down to 10% once you hit 240$ I am a consultant and its the first thing I learned, I also make sure my hostess gets her credit so far all my hostesses are statisfy. I even recheck my catalogue to be sure.I made once mistake and it was only I got the wrong scent I paid for the replacement myself since it was my error not the client.

My story has some similarities, my consultant didn't inform me of any savings and I could have saved quite a bit. I signed up under her and found out how much I was missing in savings. She hasn't really helped me as a sponsor either. I wish I had done more research before buying and joining. I learned the hard way and that is why I try to let people know about sales and ways to save. I help the people I sponsor as much as they will let me. I pass savings on to my customers so they know they can trust me to get them the best deals. Sorry you also had to learn the hard way but it's a lesson you will not forget and treat your customers better.

Yeah I can relate to that went through same I really belive scentsy needs to change their system reason why they really don't have as much love reason because some consultants don't educate the product and I thought same thing about what you said.
It's possible the consultant you ordered from was new and didn't know (or care) of keeping track of your order size. I used to deal with that when I was in Tupperware and they followed the same scale. Yeah, if I were in your shoes I would've been so livid realizing that I could have got the rewards I was entitled to and that didn't happen (and having been explained the rewards scale after-the-fact by Scentsy corporate). That's just so not fair! I know it's been many years since this clip was made but I wonder at that time, could that customer service agent corrected it and got you your rewards anyway because of the consultant's negligence and poor customer service. Makes me think that consultant combined other customers orders, entered them all as her own and possible "stole" your rewards. I'm not accusing that consultant for ripping you off, but then yes indeed there are dishonest consultants out there, in the business for their own benefit and making out like bandits. Watch out for these crooks. Thank your for posting this because you just never know with people!
This motivated me to sign up & walk the path of pure honesty with my customers. It's too bad that at the time I wasn't familiar with Compliance to report my experience. The consultant blocked me & closed off any conversations about it.
So in the summer when I have my air conditioner on will I smell the wax??

That’s why I went with pink zebra instead ❤️❤️❤️ it I used to be all scentsy but I had a horror story which ruined it for me. You can put the dish in the freezer and it pops right out after 10 mins
Miranda Erenberg can we burn scentsy or Walmart wax bars in the pink zebra warmers?, and if so, does it work well for throw? I love the look of pink zebra warmers, but want to be able to use them with other branded wax melts.

I live in Miami and my house is always cold... does that mean I won’t be able to smell my wax bars because my house isn’t hot? That doesn’t make much sense
Jackie Tomes it's like -40C where I live (next to Alaska) so having that dry and cold air prevented me from really enjoying scents. It's possible to have a cold place that still has humidity, you'll just notice a difference when it's hotter :) and of course depending on the scent
What happens in the summer when the air is on? Will still be able to smell it or not? I just put in a order of over $250 an was told shipping was free?!?
Hey, where are you located? In the US, there's free shipping on a party order but not in Canada. In the summer the smell will be nice & strong, it's just not as strong in the winter unless your heat is turned up or you have a humidifier in the same room :) Sounds like you have lots of awesomeness on its way to you! An yes I got a lot I had to get the one that looks like a tree stump (because this is the last month for it), and the fox (it just so cute), the vintage night light, the teilia that probably not how it's spelled) night light, 12 sent circles, 2 big buddy's, Stella the unicorn, dryer disk in Luna,12 bars, chasing fire flys warmer for a friend, chasing fire flys night light for a friend, 2 Stella the unicorns for friends (not counting the one I got me lol), 1 dragon buddy clip, 6 bars for friends! I think I got a good deal for all that! Can't wait till is gets here 😁!! lol I am a little obsessed with scentsy I just started buying it last October an I already have flutter warmer, the rock warmer, the owl night light, the ice cream cone warmer, the camper an the live simply an got like 24 bars from then till December an now this new order lol
oh my goodness, you have some lucky friends!!!! I think you will be fine with all those warmers going lol my video is very much for someone like you just to remind you what a party is and what you are entitled to because January was double the rewards but being in the states you got free shipping & I hope lots of good discounts or special thank you's :) Always look at the reward system in your catalog & communicate with your consultant so you get the hook up! I can't speak for another consultant or say anything about that price, but the reward system is in your catalog. I think it's super important to have a relationship with your consultant so that you always trust the amount you are charged :)
I don't quite agree with your calculation about the party order. You ordered $197, just $43 shy of $240 which is a qualifying order to get host credits and half-price items. Well, if you did buy $43 worth of items, you will get the host credit. Then, say you want to use your 2 half price items (1 half price and another 1 half price as a perpetual award) say, you buy a$85 warmer, 2 of them as half-price. Overall, you still need to spend $43 + $85 = $127 more if you went ahead to get a qualifying order
And I would have HAD I KNOWN, instead she used the perks. That's why it's important to connect with your consultant
You didn't really lose very much because if you we're at $190 and your rewards kicked in It 240, you would have had to spend 50 more dollars in order to get a benefit of $48, so it pretty much balanced out sure you would have got an extra 10% off of any other order but unless you're really spending another at least $200 on product it's not going to really be worth it ... So don't feel TOO bad!

I don't know if it has just changed in the last month, but my friend just became a scentsy consultant like last week and the minimum amount for a party order for the host rewards is just $200 not $250 anymore and once you hit that $200 its free shipping for a party order or for any single orders in that party after the $200 mark. Me and her figured that out when I made an order and got the host rewards and free shipping on another order in the party at just barely $202.
Also, this comment isn't meant to be critical just adding in the info if anyone is curious lol. Me and my friend had to do a lot of research and practice orders to be sure lol.
Also, its possible she added your order to a current party order that totaled over $240 and she may have wanted to keep the rewards for herself. Which to be honest isn't specifically meant for the customer, while I do agree she should have offered it and gave you the rewards, its not really horrible for her to not have considering its a scentsy consultant benefit they can choose to give away (excluding the host perpetual credit which would definitely be better given away) and your order wasn't really a party order. My friend definitely would have told you and gave you the benefits of it though. Its cool you decided to become a consultant anyway! How do you make it work for you? How do you like it? Hi, I was just gonna say "is she in the US or Canada?" and in this case, she really only had to order a small amount to get all the rewards, but absolutely it is up to the consultant to inform you and that's why I made this video, so people (consultants & customers) can understand that the relationship is important because you want to be linked with someone that is going to give you all the info upfront. I would have liked the option to put in my own party & get not only the rewards, but DOUBLE the rewards (you'll notice I didn't even mention the perpetual because that one is at the discretion of the consultant & I totally believe that one really depends on the situation) so the rewards are actually for the party host, but the perpetual is the one given when someone books at a party or with the discretion of the consultant :) The half off's and credits are listed in the catalogue & should 100% be going to the host or collector of $240+ I would have been fine with this consultant keeping the perpetual. I will be making a 2year Scentsy-versary video soon to highlight how I've made it this far and tips/tricks, but I have lots of other videos on here as well. GIVE, GIVE, GIVE- that's my motto! Are you sure your consultant didn't use the hostess rewards to get your products for a better price? Sometimes we use our hostess rewards to give customers a better deal on their order.
Mindy Perkins in the box below the video I mentioned that she didn't give me any deals, the price was just lower cuz of the combine & saves.
Hailey J. I don't understand how she cheated you if you didn't make a party order? With the combine and saves it sounded like you didn't order enough to make a party so she couldn't use any rewards for you. I honestly didn't hear anything you said that sounded like she cheated you in anyway. So if you didn't order enough for a party how could she use your rewards when there were known to give? It sounds like she did everything she should have. I mean maybe she could have said "by the way if you spend x amount of dollars more you make a party and you get rewards" and you maybe would have been willing to spend that for the rewards, but that doesn't mean she didn't do her job. And furthermore, I've been a consultant for over a year and I didn't know about the temperature thing. So maybe she didn't know either? I don't agree with her not willing to contact support for you and trying to solve it herself, but I understand her not knowing what to tell you.
maybe your consultant was new and wasn't aware of those issues.
oh for sure, there's 100 diff possibilities and maybe she just needed the deals or was in a bad position financially. I'm not trying to shout out anything bad about her, just stating the importance of that connection & relationship between consultant & customer :)
