Pressure testing my Ford Bronco 5.8 - COOLANT LEAK!

  • Quick video on using a pressure tester to locate a coolant leak. Dodged a bullet on this one and it ending up being a loose hose clamp! I was prepared with a new thermostat housing and gasket just in case.

    Mine did the exact same thing. It was such a slow drip, coolant was slowly running over the "ledge", and then running down the crankshaft pulley, it was mimicking a timing cover gasket leaking, or the water pump. Thank god i checked the simplest things first. New upper radiator hose and new clamp, and now knock on wood its been 3 days and no drips. Keeping fingers crossed! Thanks for posting!

    Thanks man I just had my water pump replaced and it looks like yours was pooling in the same place mine is. Ill get one of these this weekend and see if you helped me fix my problem!

    Great vid I have the same problem pooling on timing cover, how many miles do you have and what oil weight do you use 530 blend isn't doing to well thinking if using 10/40 blend 1988 e150 5.8l so I have flat tappet cam any advice thanks in advance.

    yea the rental at the auto parts was an exspensive tester..lots of caps.....but none to fit an american radiator. 30 mile ride back to auto store. the guy says its brand new and fits all of them..i said well fit it. none would fit wifes 2005 town n country..none would fit my 93 f150..5.0. so make sure you look at these shinny china rigs...

      Wish mine was this simple . I have to change the seal where the timing belt and water pump is.. love your videos me and the hubby. Are very appreciative
